Republicans retaken control of the Senate this year, flipping seats in West Virginia, Montana, Ohio and Pennsylvania. Mitch McConnell (who has been the leader of Senate Republicans since 2006) hovewer anounced that he will retire as a leader.

There are currently three candidates to succeed him: South Dakota senator John Thune, Texas senator John Cornyn and Florida senator Rick Scott.

Which one of them would you like to become a nead Senate majority leader?

It ended up being Thune, which isn't good. None of these were great options but Scott would've been better.

Cornyn and Thune are both McConnell's inner circle turds who can't be trusted for much of anything that doesn't involve profiteering and playing ball.

Scott is a guy that was a strategist for 2022 midterms, when Republicans severely underperformed. I'm happy he wasn't chosen.
