Are women really able to compete against men?

I have been giving a lot of thought into the aggressive nature of man, and how that aggression is manifested in the business world. Men play it hard, struggling to make it to the top, battling one another like animals claiming territory. And now, we see more women in occupying such positions because we have lowered the standards of the playing field so women can catch up, through quotas, affirmative action, DEI initiatives, and so on. If such resources didn't exist, would women still be occupying such roles?

even the best cooks are the Iron Chefs who are all men

truly the only thing holding men back is each other and themselves, listening to useless feminist advice designed to keep them back while non-listeners strive forward

It is surprising that in fields, you'd primarily expect to be female dominated, that men are at the top. Even in hair dressing, cooking, and nursing.

I haven't looked into that, I'm just focused on the business setting at the moment.

Women just don't put the same drive and energy n. It is very noticeable n the tech sector in which work.

But how often does this occur?

Not often enough. It should still be by merit. Like Phoenix in Top Gun Maverick

I knew girls that were extremely athletic that could do things better than me. However I was not really an athlete. If they competed against a guy who was at the top of a certain game. they would not stand a chance.

it really depends on the man and the event.
Some things sure, other things they are just not built the same, so it is pretty much not possible to compete in some fields.

In this context, that would be the executive roles in business fields.

How often does it happen?

now it is very common, years ago, rarely if ever, there was "the good ol boys club" which was pretty much impossible to join.

What changed?

Men's perception of that women only belonged in the kitchen.
Most women had to prove themselves in the work fields yet still go bypassed for a top leadership role.
Fortunately, things have slowly evolved over the years.
It is better, but I'm thinking that the old attitude still exists.
Many males do not want to be shown up by a female so the band together.

Some are better at it than others. But sadly, when women are less competitive, their failure is attributed to "sexism". If it's sexism, then mother nature is sexist.
