The accuser had made false allegations in the past. Mike Tyson has openly admitted to doing other bad and illegal things, but has always maintained his innocence which might indicate that he genuinely believes it was consensual. The jury didn't agree, though. At the time everybody thought he was a monster. Wouldn't surprise me if they were a bit biased.
