This happened to me a few years ago. The burgler was stupid enough to climb my balcony while my balcony door was open at that moment. The guy came in my house while I was sitting in my living room so I inmedietly saw him. He also saw me and got scared so he ran back to the balcony and jumped over it while I chased him barefooted.

He was very fast and he jumped down so I wanted to go after him but I realised I couldn't jump down like him without shoes on so I looked which way he went, and I quickly got out of my front door and I chased him. The burgler ran surround a corner and he was thinking that he was safe so he stopped running.

Luckely for me I could run very fast and pretty much silently after him because I had no shoes on. I quickly catched up with him and without him even noticing me yet I was behind him and I inmedietly started beating him up without even saying a word to him.

In the end I choose to let him go because he was bleeding pretty good and he got what he deserved so I spared him a trip to jail but I never expected somebody to come in my house in the middle of the day while I was home

Depends where I am in the house, if I see the burglar, and if I am in a safe place or not.

Let’s say I’m in the living room and they got a gun, I’m running to some place safe & getting out of there immediately since my possessions are my possessions however my life can never be replaced for me. Once I’m safe I call 9-11 then wait for them to arrive on the scene as I stay on the phone line.

Let’s say I was in my bathroom as I heard the sound of glass breaking or the door being pushed down…. I lock the door and dial the number 9-11, stay on the line & wait for them to arrive.

Now let’s say I witness the burglar and they 100% don’t have a weapon, I would find the nearest object and whack ‘em with it / try to intimidate them to leave!

*I know this is boring / standard though yeahhh….

Speakerphone 911 on my cell phone by my bedside table. If anything they are cleaning up useless garbage in my 600 square foot place. Ow no I have to go to the bank AGAIN to buy quarters to do laundry.

Guys such a badass he figured out the revolver isn't even loaded by light going into the chambers. Only way anyone is getting hurt is if they get despite. There's the door don't let it hit you on the way out. I'd honestly pay you 100x lot more to earnest clean then anything worth while to steal.

I arm myself & housemates, then I start to create a blockade by throwing a bunch of things on the stairs. If push comes to shove, I swan dove down the flight of stairs to disarm & then beat the shit out of whoever they are with whatever they brought with them.
