Is society and the laws more supportive of hypergamy or polygamy?

The laws are explicitly against polygamy and explicitly in favor of hypergamy. A woman can leave her man at any time and make the man pay for her to go be with a new man. And she gets to choose if she wants to take the kids or leave them. Or split them.

Imagine if the laws were reversed and the man can leave at any time for a younger woman and his ex wife had to come over to cook and clean for both of them. Or if the laws made a woman unable to leave a marriage if the man wanted to add in more wives.

Fault divorce because adultery with loosing rights to assets share and losing rights to alimony would be against polygamy. Alimony for incompetent spouses which make look marriage like adoption of poor and mentally limited spouses are rather in category of hypergamy

Obviously hypergamy. We made laws that made men fund women's hypergamy (divorce laws and child support laws) and we made laws to criminalize polygamy.

Meanwhile society cheers for women who upgrade from their husbands (and make a million excuses for them) and absolutely trashes any man that has multiple women in a relationship.

If it's the latter, you're wrong because the correct answer is "which society." The Middle East, the answer is polygamy. The West, the answer is hypergamy. And plenty of places in between both.

Laws don't support either.. society on the other hand might support those things.. In the middle east men only can have 5 wives.. but he needs to be able to support all of them and they all have a right to their own house.. so no it doesn't really support Polygamy unless he is like a rich mf..
The only thing is in the west the government doesn't want to be paying for garbage useless woman and their shitbag kids so they put it on the men to take care of his own trash in divorce..
Not many women can date up, once they have kids unless they are dating pedos, who will then gladly take in a woman with 2 or more kids lol..
So this whole convo is just a waste of time and not supported by majority of people.. especially now since so many men don't even want to marry women these days..
