Until Syria stabilizes and declares its intentions nationally and internationally, respecting human rights, I do not support any evacuation of American troops. We need to know who this new Syria is. Is it a country hostile to the Western world or one that wants to improve itself through a democratic system, adopted from others or even created by themselves.
dumb question... but why is that? what are we doing over there? are we the globes police force?
should we be stationed in all countries controlling them?
Israel be at risk. isn't that on them?
This is the cost of being a global superpower. With great power comes great responsibility. If you are not the police of the world, the world will seek to rob you in a very aggressive manner.
Even the Roman Empire assumed this responsibility when it was the largest and longest-lasting empire.
Whether you like it or not, your economic and military power has an echo throughout the world. What are you looking for there, maintaining zones of peace and supporting a group as close as possible to Western values, so as not to side with a new enemy or to lose economic and or military advantages.
They should, but they won't.
Biden's put the infrastructure for Trump to have to deal with a potential Third World War mainly with Russia by giving Ukraine carte blanche to fire US made ballistic ordinance at targets inside Russia. Why would he care enough to pull troops that would then be available easily for Trump to use for defence?
You need to work on your own military strategy understanding
i didn't give an answer.
military is about control. but you've got 900 people in harms way... can they hold them off?

Bulb, do you really think Joey gives a fuck?
cared enough to release 1500 people, he's working... or someone is. remember afghanistan... americans likely at risk, possibly be fighting for their lives. remember bengazi?

Trump talking about bombing and invading Mexico and turning Canada into our 51 and 52 states whats a few more US troops?
I am sorry to say, but niether Republican or Democrat is anti war. It's all the same shit. Look at George Bush for god shakes.
They called Chruch Hill a warmonger, but if he sat on his ass and did nothing Hitler would have taken everything. In the case of Ukriane they need to fight. Sometimes the war has meaning and then sometimes the war is a pointless search for weapons of mass destruction and don't even exist.
If they let Ukraine get taken over by Russian he will take Finland next, then Poland and then soon we all live under Putin which is what Trump wants.
oh that's a bit sensational I suspect. Russia can't even overrun a sliver of Ukraine let alone nato poland. not gonna happen.
They are on a remote base and already have a solid reputation after destroying a Wagner PMC column. There is nothing to fear.
Are you kidding me? Don’t you remember the disastrous pull out of Afghanistan by this administration? They couldn’t even do that right
Usa is there to defend the Kurdish so no.
I might not choose to send people where they are, but my friends all say they are good with serving and watvhing each orthers backs!
Killed by who? Israel?
doubt that scenario but bombs all over the place. those that took over might try to drive them out, but doubt it. I would assume there's just a few soldiers per base defending each. 900 total isn't much.
Status quo ante
