Trending & News It’s the main reason I don’t respect most of my fellow countrymen. Half of them voted for an OBVIOUS liar, an OBVIOUS con artist, an OBVIOUS buffoon, an OBVIOUS bad actor to take over, after a historically embarrassing performance his first time around, all because the right wing machine, from the politicians to the media to internet trolls making memes, convinced a majority of voters that the already-pretty-good economy is actually bad, that still-unnecessarily-elevated prices of goods is the fault of the President and not that of the greedy corporations price gouging us, and that the Vice President is responsible for the actions of the current administration as soon as she became the candidate and that’s more convenient to the narrative.
It’s absurd on its face. The candidate in question is not only a known terrible politician but a known terrible human being, and sadly a lot of people think that’s just fucking terrific, because they’re terrible people themselves and it makes them feel validated in their terrible-ness.
And more of them DON’T think it’s terrific, but voted for him anyway, because they’re stupid enough to believe the “the economy is currently bad; I can fix it” line from Trump (OF COURSE he *says* that, you fucking dimwits🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️), and when it came down to it, their own wallet mattered more than selling out their fellow Americans.
That’s it right there: above all else, Trump voters are SELLOUTS of the highest order.
In the end, all I can do is know I tried to do the right thing. I don’t know where this is all headed. It’s weird to think we might be on the cusp of a new era of one-party dictatorship, that we handed away, we didn’t even make them fight for it. We let them trick us into handing over the keys. I didn’t, many of us didn’t…. but more of us did. And that’s just a sad commentary on both American character and American intelligence. Even now…they’re victory lapping, completely blind to how badly they might have fucked themselves.
THIS SAYS IT ALL…
