A friend of mine lost something like 600 pounds in a bar, he got drunk on holiday and he got scammed out of that money paying for drinks with them writing stupid numbers on the card machine and him putting his pin in.

Will a loss from a scam like that happen to everyone?

Yes, in some way or another. Not everyone faces major loss from being scammed. I was scammed back in 2018 by a fake glass artist. They were a glass artist with their own website, many good reviews. Thought I was purchasing a custom marble set, paid $150, got blocked by the “artist” and only heard from them a year later after I made a post warning other people about their scam. They then said they’d blocked me because they thought I was scamming them and that they’d never received my payment, I sent them proof of payment, they said they’d send the marble set, then proceeded to block me again lol.

I have a rule that as soon as credit card numbers are involved I walk away from it.
