I think they do for being so stupid, no one forced them to hand over money to these Indian scam caller's, they willingly do it out of free will because they are so stupid, it's like they're giving away a prize to someone, rather than being 'robbed"

I almost got scammed once, but luckily I was smart enough to tell it was a scam, and it wasn't so hard for me to tell that it was.. if I did fall for it, in my opinion I deserve it for being such a stupid dumbass. I wouldn't blame the scammer. I say fair game to him for coming up with such a clever buisness plan and I take the loss like a man, I mean like an idiot. No offence to any idiots that would fall for it, I jus hate idiots... Unless you're old and brain isn't so good, in which case then I do feel sympathy for victim... But young scam victims are stupid morons

Some scams have been SO widely explained by SO many sources, you would wonder how anyone could be so gullible. A few other are very sophisticated and can fool almost anyone.

Moral of the story: if you get a message from someone you know- yet it seems weird or out of character for them- before you do anything, contact that person DIRECTLY by some other means and ask if they sent such a message. If not, or its they can't recall, delete, delete, delete.
If you get a message that wants to split $10,000,000 inheritance, delete it.
If you get a message saying someone is coming into town yet needs your services and they will send a check in advance of their arrival, delete it.
If you get a message saying something plausible, yet it comes from someone/some place you have never heard about or requested info from, delete it.
If someone says they are from the IRS, local police dept and wants a Western Express gift card as bond for some sort of supposed "crime" on your part, delete it, or report it to your local police department.
So - when in doubt - DON'T.

I signed up for Amazon and when the trial was about to end, I got a call from Amazon, so I thought it was actual Amazon support team, so I had no reason to think otherwise, but I was fucking confused as to why Amazon employees are scamming people, I thought they're not allowed to employee people like that, then I found it was scammers pretending to be Amazon,
I have no idea how they found out I was on Amazon prime and my trial was ending... Really suffisticated and Amazon should not release that info to the public, wtf... Almost cost me 1,000

This is why you hear of old ladies, or the disabled falling for them more than you do others. As this is the target group more likely to part with money.

I think its all better if we collectively decide not to scam (via the law and morality) so we can focus some more of our time, effort, and smarts towards innovation and alleviate suffering instead using those resources for defense between one another. Also, a lot of people are unlucky in that they were born into a poorer family or they weren't genetically/developmentally lucky enough to become competent enough to make a good amount of money. These sorts of people are already vulnerable enough and have to go through enough shit to also have to try and look for scams. The elderly make up the most scammed. Like late 60s and up. Senile people and some with mental issues. No I don't think our parents and grandparents deserve to have their life savings stolen from them.

The overwhelming majority of people scammed are elderly so this is almost not worth talking about. The newer scams are crypto scams where clicking on a link gives access to your wallet.

I'd feel sorry for people caught in that too. This is all relatively new shit and most are beginners who are just learning. I don't think those spending months to grow a decent portfolio deserves to get scammed because they clicked a discord link.

Never personally been scammed but seriously. Scammers are scum, they cheat people out of a lot of money, an considering the average income I'm the country that's pretty significant. I don't wish suffering like that on anyone
