You clearly don't know much about most of the other species on this planet.

Dolphins for example are pimps that act like gangsters, many primates are not soo much better and engage in brutal genocidal wars. Most other species are even worse many will kill you simply for being around them. This is what life and competition is in the natural environment and has been for billions of year.

You live in a very artificial bubble you or your socility build for you with wealth and technology from which you make these absurd 'moral' judgements about life. A world that cannot exist without the world below it.

You just assume it is better to be selfless, honest, and generous. When in fact those attributes only favor you in social structures where they are rewarded either directly or via the kin that make up those social structure.

In a large community with little accountability filled with people who are not your kin these attributes can be beneficial to you and those you choose to support.

Yes we can "choose" to be generous but doing so only cost us and our kin when others invariably take the 2nd route.
