Guys, Does having children usually change a woman’s political ideologies (when she’s past 30)?

Married women are more likely to lean conservative. But does having children (married or not) impact a woman’s political beliefs?

I’ve had the displeasure of encountering a few childless middle aged cat ladies. 9 out 10 times they are far FAR left. What JD Vance said about them “wanting others to be miserable because their miserable” is very true. And if they had abortions earlier in their lives they often secretly regretting it.

Anyway I saw this comical post about never dating a single mother. It’s true there are a lot of pitfalls with that. But one thing is for certain: she choose to keep their child. I do respect that.

So just thinking for all the guys out there. Is it fair guys out women (over 30) in a damned if you do vs damned if you don’t scenario? Like a both sides are undesirable? I’m oddly beginning to believe single mothers might have a better head on their shoulders compared to single cat ladies over 30. The latter is usually extremely far left which is becoming increasingly insufferable.

NOTE: I no longer use the phrase “liberal” disparagingly. Instead I use the term “leftist”. They are not the same thing. A liberal is somebody who truly wants individual freedom. Think of a typical 1960s hippie (not a radical activist) when it comes the phrase “liberal”.

A leftist wants to use the power of the government to censor people and force redistribution. And there are a lot of “leftist” modern women today. They want communism.

Women with children become ultimately more leftist.

Liberal in the US is different to elsewhere. There is a Liberal party in my country that represents classic liberalism in gov't keeping out of your face and not trying to manage your life for you.

Liberalism in the US seems to be social liberalism where gov't is in your face, telling you what to think and doesn't trust parents to raise children with correct views. I would think US liberalism is quite Marxist.

Typically woman do vote more left than men as women put more importance on gov't services like health etc. Men put more emphasis on a good economy enabling them to earn more to afford those costs.

Aside from those economic distinctions, as women age though they do become socially conservative. I was surprised at one criticizing Gen Z parents not giving their child their birth gender but leaving to the child to decide what gender it is.

She thought this badly wrong to confuse the child. This particular woman has surprised me with her gender conservativeness in other areas also because in other ways she is very left wing. She has no children.

I think in general women with children do become socially conservative because they start seeing it as giving useful guard rails for their child.

it is theirs, not mine

but in my experience... I've never been with a woman who has been this much into "ideologies and politics" to an extreme, so it is just something I don't really have had to deal with

It depends on the woman some people are liberals when they are younger but they get what’s called life experience and change their views.

There are women who used to be extremely liberal. For instance on abortion…. But then she has kids herself and realizes it’s taking the life of a baby. There are things such as liberal policies not allowing her to put food on the table.

It goes for both sexes. As people mature and gain real life experience. They become more political.

He didn't specify age in his childless cat lady talk. So Taylor Swift qualifies as such. She is definitely old enough to be a mother. She isn't and owns a cat. She's also a multibillionaire with several private jets.

In my experience, women tend to become more conservative when they have children, especially if their child is a boy.

It depends on an individual, some women can change their political ideology, but most of them probably won't.
