after ww2 the Americans essentially stole 1500 top German scientists. you know, the ones that invented the jet, the missile, atomic theory. if I was a German I'd be hopping mad. Germany should've been the one to go to the moon, and honestly, they probably would've made it to Mars 30 years ago if they won WW2.

But your assertions about the Germans is laughable. The Germans were NOT progressing much. Mainly as they were spending far more on catching and killing Jews, the disabled and dissenters than they were in any one project. It's why no one really joined them once they were exposed. If the Germans had "won," your ass would likely have been on the guillotine.

The Germans kept adding to their list of "enemies" and it would have been a perpetual war.

The US stole them? The US went to Germany and stuffed them in a box and forced them to move to the US? No, they came willingly.

Plus, the US already had all those programs going. Yea, the German scientists made big contributions, but they didn't make or break the program. It would have happened anyway.

I think the distinction would rely on the scientist. In the nasa picture you see the classic academia duelist sword nazi face scars. So I don't think they were there for the fellow man just the government funding.

Nazi government folded, the last paycheck bounce and not payed out so go to the next contractor work you got. So the question being asked it's as ethical as capitalism.
