I don't know why some people would denigrate Indians just for being Indian. But I never understood racism and bigotry. I don't stereotype people. I assess everyone on an individual basis.
I've met some outstanding, kind, generous, funny, smart Indian people.
Maybe some people just look down on anyone who is different. They need to feel superior.

Maybe you haven’t talked to other races of men. You can try and they’ll prove that we (Indian women) are the most abused women in the history of mankind. Intimidation is rather connected with respect, insecurities appear when someone's culture is inferior to another one in matter of wealth, heritage or social proficiency. I don't think your culture outperforms cultures of most guys who appear to be racist towards you.
Your culture is connected with some stereotypes like mine is connected with stereotypes that we are all thieves and racist. However I don't really care and when stereotypes of your culture are hitting your nerves, it surely easier to grow thicker skin than to try to change human nature.

But now that it's still familiar, there's still the tribal mindset, where people cling to their resources, because when resources are scarce, having others come in will mean they'll take those resources as well. So now that we are civilized, the people who can't escape their primitive ways of thinking still think that foreigners will make them starve, despite knowing that they won't. It's just tribalism in it's purest, stupidest form.

Third of all, I've never had any issues with any person of color, even after coming out of a predominantly white community, because I actually treat them as equals. I have lived in many diverse areas in both my own country and elsewhere, and it is always better than culturally monogamous "communities". The USA is so individualistic you don't even care about people of your own country, so I don't expect much effort for you to respect people from elsewhere
