It seems like society puts too much value on masculine traits like strength, leadership, assertiveness etc. But then there isn't as much value put on feminine traits like being nurturing, caring, creativity, having emotional intelligence. Etc. Like we are forcing women into needing to be masculine to be "equal" instead of just embracing each genders qualities and seeing value in both sides.
Feminine traits are valued they're so valued that men used to do all kinds of dangerous difficult and unpleasant jobs to be able to take care of a woman and still do.
If you look at the job of garbage man for example. There's no status or prestige in being a garbage man and the job is not enjoyable or has any perks or anything. So the only reason anybody would do this job is if at least the pay was decent. And also this job is critical for society to function.
If you look at the jobs a women like doing (not all women can get these jobs but if they can most women would take these jobs. ) They usually have some kind of status and prestige, they're usually comfortable in nice environments, they're often social which women like, there's a lot of nice things about the jobs that don't have to do with money.
Men and women have different priorities, men need to compete and stand out so they're more likely to take jobs that nobody wants to do if they get rewarded for it.
It's not that people don't value femininity it's just that the job market will pay more for jobs if they can't find anybody to do it.
Like truck drivers. A woman would get paid the same wage as a man if she did this job and there are a few who do it. There's a woman who's a truck driver and makes youtube videos but only about 5-10 % of truck drivers are women.
So if there's a shortage and the pay is good but a lot of women still don't want to do them then it's because they value other things more than money which is fine.
But in the job market some things just need to get done, and nobody wants to do them so money is the incentive. Men are, and will be, the majority of people who take those kind of jobs and so they will earn money.
But why are they doing it? Most of the time so they can have a family. So saying femininity is not valued is wrong in my opinion. It's just a matter of priorities.

Hell, I’d say having compassion & kindness & love are genuinely good traits to have. My point is, stereotypes are dumb though even if they suddenly vanished… There would be discrimination towards certain men and certain women (women in this case). So yeah it sucks and we should see, hear, and care for women as human beings worthy of a voice, a seat, a hug, and an appreciative nod. Thank you.

@Apple1996 Well, it is because they feel anger isn’t an emotion… In the way crying, upset, exhausted, etc. are emotions… There is a serious issue (not just with that) where people push insecurities onto others like “oh that’s so gay” and the person shrugs it off since they don’t have that problem of narrow minded thinking which pisses the aggressor off even more…. Just let people be who they are and let people live life the way they are as long as it doesn’t hurt people. If it pisses you off or gets you triggered, who cares? The fact that traits are assigned the roles of masculine and feminine is itself a patriarchal act meant to undermine the value of women in society period. Of course they would place strict values on specific traits, not bothering to say that everyone should and could have a bit of everything to be healthy individuals psychologically, because it is a social power move to say “this is manly and this is girly and that’s the way it is” and subsequently make it so that anything feminine is looked down on because men matter more in a patriarchal society. This is why gender roles as a whole just need to be abolished. No one cares that much and anyone who does has just drank the kool-aid so much they think it’s water.

There already is equality, modern feminism is pushing for supremacy. By and large I agree with you though. Most women are natural nurturers, and most men are more assertive. Trying to make men more effeminate, and women more masculine does not help or make either more happy.
Actually only other women look down on a woman's feminine traits, many men don't care to see masculine traits in women because for the most part not only do men already carry those traits but as men, they go through masculine situations throughout their whole day, they want to come home to femininity and that femininity is wanted coming from their woman, not masculinity, men that complain and devalue feminine traits in women are for the most part using that as an excuse to hide the fact that they can't land their shot with women, a woman that has a lot to offer are usually and for the most part women that have these feminine traits because men will clearly struggle to accomplish these traits that are necessary in a household with children, womens femininity give them a calming nature that can be necessary to a man, it's women that created the whole idea that it's a must to have what men have and to grow masculine traits so they can survive on their own because they don't need anyone, really tell yourself how many women with masculine traits do you see successfully married to a man, most likely seen with other women cause with genders opposites attract, it's how it was designed to be, opposites were meant to attract in human nature.

The problem is that women try to compete in masculine endeavors using feminine traits, and feminine traits will never be competitive with masculine traits in masculine endeavors. Women complain about men being lousy at the things mothers so well do every day. Feminine traits are not as valuable as masculine traits because of biology: since men are physically and mentally stronger, more powerful in general, and we have the divine power to bring life into existence without any complications: by impregnating women. It automatically leads to conclusion that based on our biological differences, men do more than women which is more critical to the human race than what women do: protection, provide, maintain to ensure the human race survival. A woman nurtures the kids sure, but a man protects, provide, clothes, feeds the whole family (wife and children and who knows, another wife and children + perhaps also his own old parents). This went on generations by generations and there is a reason why: once again, biology. There is nothing more honourable what women do compared to what men do. Not to mention, all Prophethoods were passed down on men and the very first human being was a man, not woman.

Bullseye! I've been making this point forever. Unlike what the feminist movement has been selling for decades, "equality" between men and women is not about women becoming "just like a man," it's about valuing women for their natural, god-given contribution to the human race and CELEBRATING their natural role in a family as the bearer and primary nurturer of the children, instead of denying it.
As long as women keep trying to prove that they can be just like a man they will never get the respect they deserve because they cannot. It's physically impossible. My industry is very high risk, without structure, leadership, and the ability to act under extreme pressure people can and do get hurt. There is no need for "equality" in the traditional system because men and women weren't in competition with each other. If you change society so there is that competition you also create a situation where fewer men want to be traditional and it snowballs. I think equality would be much more effective if it was acknowledged by everyone that men and women are different but complementary. Instead we have feminism that says men should be weak and women should be men.
There has never been a need for equality. Men and women are not equal, as the chart shows. Equal opportunity (when qualified) is what we should be encouraging, but there are too many people on the far left and right who are against that.
These aren't masculine and feminine traits. They're traits our society values in men and women, respectively. If "feminine traits" were valued more, then they would be expected of men more and of women less. We need to address both issues (devaluing certain traits, and devaluing women) or the idea of masculinity and femininity will just keep changing so that men are associated with (and expected to have) higher value traits than women are.

Objectively, this is of no use; the only thing women contributed to their history was their uterus, but in a world where so many children are no longer necessary, they will be forced to give up their privileges and work like men.
I think men have always valued the feminine virtues but feminists did not.
I would say no because to me equality is actually about giving women room to live out their feminine traits. It took me years to understand that women have different traits and that women have some needs that men don´t have in the same extent.
