If you ask me, a vacation doesn't have to be limited to special 4 weeks per year when you can make such a place your home.

Sure, it's $$$ (probably if you're not in Southeast Asia) but the perks make it so.

We will most likely do something like that a month of each places for a yr to 2 years after I retired… I still have other passions to pursue aside from vacations.

living in vacation areas can be fun for young people to seek adventures…reality may not be as glorious since it can get boring or have to work to make a living…

Bruh. I got NYC to the west, Catskills / Adirondacks to my north, Hamptons to my east and THANK THE FLYING SPAGHETTI MONSTER nothing but ocean to the south.

But I intend to drop my $$$ in Thailand.
