Yeah, this is a poorly conceived plan.
Racist white people will be glad to feel their country is being “re-whitened”, but fail to see the big picture. These people do menial labor that industries like agriculture depend on, because paying fair wages would either ruin them or make produce exponentially more expensive.
Additionally, we hear about about the income tax revenue we don’t get from them, but every time they spend money —even if it’s the “free” money conservatives love to scream that they’re getting— where do you think that money goes? It goes to American businesses, and the sales taxes go in the same coffers that the rest ours do.
These folks are business stimulants, and removing them all en masse will have very bad economic consequences, all because some idiot doesn’t want to hear Spanish spoken around him. They’ll tell you it has to do with “legal immigration processes” being sidestepped, but just watch…. they’re gonna go after everyone brown who they can make an excuse for. They want to end birthright citizenship…is that going forward? Or is it retroactive, and we’ll be deporting people who only know life in America?
I hope this is just another one of those idiotic Trump things where he says a bunch of shit he can’t/won't deliver on, like Mexico paying for a border wall last time, or this time, telling us just days after the election that all those grocery prices he SWORE he would bring down IMMEDIATELY, well, now, the story is “you know, it’s tough to bring prices down once they’re up.”
What? What happened to that unbridled confidence from just a while back? Nothing changed between then and now🤔 You know, it’s ALMOST as if Trump HAD NO PLAN, and just said whatever he thought sounded good to get elected, and now he’s simultaneously off the hook for his crimes, and also can hook up himself and his billionaire buddies with tax breaks and getting rid of necessary regulations that keep them honest.
Oh, but don’t worry…. they’re gonna make YOU rich too. They SWEAR. So, go ahead and hold your breath, it’s definitely coming….

It’s not always egregious, like hard racial slurs, but a lot of ignorant comments and assumptions.
And of course white people aren’t the only ones capable of prejudice, but we’re the ones with a special power to make much more of a societal impact with ours. Someone else only has the power to hurt my feelings; I have the power to impact somebody’s life.
So the whole border issue is fair play to talk about, but the energy behind it, at least from white people….. I can tell when my fellow White people are dog whistling and trying to be lowkey racist, and this is just that. They know what they can and can’t say. If these were White Canadians, the energy would be COMPLETELY different, not that it’d be a non-issue, but they wouldn’t be telling us they’re coming to rape our wives and kidnap our kids. Most MAGA supporters are low-IQ muppets, they can’t intellectually grasp any of this, and don’t want to, they just want a cue to start going into racist fits and be told that it’s ok and they’re right to do it.
Like, basically…. there’s totally a non-ignorant way to go about border security, and Republicans just simply don’t want to take that route, because the racism is a feature, not a bug.
I’m not sure about the logic of how deporting illegal immigrants would be “bad the economy” when many them are unemployed and taking advantage of tax payer funded services.
And let me make it very clear I am 100% okay with immigrants who come here legally, obey our laws, respect our culture, pay taxes and work legitimate occupations.
But in reality the lifetime fiscal drain (taxes paid minus costs) for each illegal immigrant is about $68,000 (see reference below)

Recessions doesn't happen because there aren't enough people to pick veggies for a slave wage. Mass deportation of illegals in US would have some negative economical impact but this would be temporary and limited to specific branches in US. Recession happens if there are too many people who earn slave wages and can't afford expensive goods their economy produces nor other economies are willing to import those goods.
I think the disruption to the American work force caused by mass deportations will play a minor role. More likely economic disruption that will push the USA and the rest of the world into recession is Trumps Tariff policies. Trade wars are good for no one. I will blame Trump for this economic suicide.

A recession in 2025 is not foreseen by most economic experts.
Liberals claim a recession will happen because undocumented immigrants who work in agriculture and constructions will all be deported. But that's not gonna happen. Undocumented immigrants, illegals, who commit crimes wil be deported. Others probably won't be, at least not at first. Plus, many of the workers in agriculture and construction have legitimate visas and green cards. If they didn't, their employers would face serious fines and jail time.

It's not a "liberal claim" that "that would affect millions of families and damage businesses reliant on those workers, including agriculture.", it's just a fact.
Taking businesses to court for employing illegal immigrants would be a reasonable approach to reducing illegal immigration. That's not an approach I've seen Republicans suggest. If you have, where?
In case you have not noticed there has been a recession going on for the last three years, prices for commodities have rocketed across the board, food fuels etc, Inflation has climbed rapidly, GDP has plummeted, the only ones making money hand over fist are the likes of Blackrock and the other Big Money people. Mass deportation will have little influence on the recession we are now in, with the exception that employers will have to keep wages at level with inflation, if they don't they'll loose employees to employers who will.
Recession is simply when the GDP goes down rather than up. That is going to happen sooner or latter usualy as part of a correction.
If we manage deport a large number of people I would expect that to be the case after all there are fewer workers doing work.
But that doesn't necessarily mean its a bad thing for the people as more of the money that does exist will have to be spent on the existing workers.
For decades business interest have been pushing for high immigration and disatvantagous trade policies precisely so that they could pay less for labor and make themself richer. The other countries after all didn't have the money to actually buy the goods & services.
How do you increase GDP if the population is declining (by deportation), spending is reduced? Does tariffs raise GDP because the prices increase... e. g. inflation?

If don carries through mass deportation and domestic food is 3x or 4x the price and we average folk can only eat rice and beans. It would probably dodge a recession.
The rich will have the money for good food 10x the cost. We could stop the government farm subsidizing and force the rich to spend money domesticly like this but no one else could afford good food. Rice and beans I'd suck but let us eat while we still have homes.
Even if you believe that all illegals will be deported (given that we don’t know who and how many if them they are that‘s unrealistic), only 60% of US adults are working, do there’s plenty of labor market slack, and the huge costs associated with the illegals, who send a lot of money outside of the US, will also be gone.
We had a recession a couple of years ago. The democrats changed the definition of recession so all of a sudden it wasn't a recession.
If the millions that will be removed from the workforce are government workers it will help restore confidence that the Trump administration is doing something about the national debt/
Hopefully President Trump's trade policies will bring back jobs to America and lessen unemployment.

Bear in mind that these things are nothing more than a number on a computer, they're absolutely worthless. Trump wants to create a "reserve" of them, costing the taxpayer huge amounts of money.
I'd say deportation would help the economy more.. Maybe the immigrants actually working and contributing to the economy would get a loophole pardon or something.. But not all the criminals and people living off the government. Plus, I don't think that causes recessions..
Inflation is blurring the reality of the economy because the GDP usually rises even if the economy has slowed down. Technically, a recession is two consecutive quarters of negative GDP. Also, since government spending is part of the GDP equation, there is a very low chance that number will decline given the amount of defense spending in both Ukraine and Israel, among other countries. If there are mass deportations and housing prices come down from their highs by a modest amount (10-15%), that could trigger a decline in the GDP for 1-2 quarters, which could cause a recession even without an increase in the unemployment rate.

If they are in the work force they are most likely working under the table so there will be no real impact with them gone as they were not paying taxes.
The impact will be felt they won't be shopping, spending money eating out etc that keeps the economy strong.

S., he expressly said and wrote in his executive orders that he's only deporting illegal immigrants who have committed violent criminal felonies in their home countries or in the U. S. The us economy is huge and across all 50 states. While some counties will have an economic impact the country as a whole will be impacted more by energy legislation and likely will after a year be better than it is today.
Maybe to the plus side because $Billions won't be spent feeding, housing, and giving them other handouts will not be necessary?
