How do you feel about the proposal of no tax on tips?

Taxation is theft, but if I have to pay taxes on all of my income, tip earners should too.

I like the fact of not paying taxes for or on anything. The flip side of that coin is. Some people make an exceptionally good living while waiting on other people. Others are not so fortunate. Depending on where you work and your clientele.
Is it fair that a waiter or waitress can make more than a working stiff and not have to pay taxes to boot?

Tips are income, why should it be any different? Most servers already make a lot more than the people in the kitchen. So why should servers pay less tax on a higher income? Heck, I have no doubt that some servers make more than the manager.

I think people don't realize how much money some people make on tips.

I like it. IRS agents should not be chasing service workers for a few extra dollars in tips. The no tax on Social Security is good too. I never saw the logic in getting money from the government and then have to just give some back. Same thing with unemployment payments.

How about paying everyone in food industry a good wage, so tips can be so small it doesn't matter if taxed or not.
