Why do women deserve Chivalry?

Question

Okay... Its a simple question. No im not asking to insult anyone. I just want opinions. Honest to goodness i am unlikely to respond to anyone unless they hurl insults first.

So here is the rub. In an equal society, why would women deserve chivalry, which for those that dont know, is a way of treating women with difference. Not going by the medieval definition.

And for the record, i practice chivalry with those that are worthy of it because i believe in respecting people in my care ESPECIALLY my wife.

My girl angrily made me food a couple of days ago. Earlier than usual. I was like "what's wrong?" And she showed me this video of a woman recording her man with takeout food in front of him and the woman goes "who did all this?" "Who is the best girlfriend?" And made that guy say "yes" and "you are". And my girlfriend got mad at that because of the entitlement and the fact it was takeout. She wanted to show how it's done. Yet she didn't record anything, she's not the type. I didn't know about the video. She just got so mad over a random video, that I got spoiled for it lool. She asked me if there is anything else I wanted, to just let her know (and yes I made full use of that). I think she just wanted to prove to herself that she is better than that. Loves making an effort for her partner. I don't usually ask for it, she just does them. But sometimes she will let me know that she wants to do something for me like that. So I ask for whatever and she'll do it. Praise her and she'll smile, happy that she made me happy.

And that's just one example, but does she deserve chivalry in my book? Absolutely. No questions asked.

So there’s a difference between a lady, who still complete herself with dignity and appreciates kindness that’s offered by a gentleman, and a female member of the species, who doesn’t necessarily want or appreciate that because she’s busy backing some out-of-bounds sense of sexuality to impress a pack of a-holes who wouldn’t know what chivalry was in the first place.

It’s important to distinguish between the ladies and the chippies, the gentlemen and the a-holes.

Do women deserve courtesy? Do men deserve courtesy? I don't really know if most people deserve anything, good or bad, except for my immediate family and closest friends.

This isn't really an answer to your question, for which I apologize. But being a courteous person has less to do with the deserving of others and more to do with our own personal quality of character.

They have a natural value which is what makes society subconsciously sympathize with them more and even protect them. During prehistoric times and in survival mode, It's always the woman being protected because they're the only ones who can give birth. While men have the ability to impregate, one man can do it to hundreds of women but hundreds of men cannot do it to one woman. So a ratio of more women than men can repopulate society faster than vice versa and that's why men's life are less valuable. That's why society think women deserve chivalry. And I'm talking about women not entitled girls.

Isn't it just humanity? If someone needs assistance for instance. You offer to help. I do for men, which I normally have to muscle to get them to accept. But they are usually grateful I genuinely meant to and followed through.

Women deserve chivalry? I like to think everyone gets a chance until they prove they are not worthy.

Because traditionally they use to provide for a Man, Not financially but Mentally and Physically.

Sadly that's fairly rare these days, So a lot of Guys would probably say they don't deserve it, Which is not just sad for us Men but the Women aswell.

your actions are a reflection If you want to get a date, make a good impression on your female boss, make a good impression on your coworkers, you practice chivalry.
