Progress and nature don't have to be in conflict. I think we could have a beautiful balance between preserving the environment and developing complementary architecture and systems.

Communities were much more stable before WW2. Most people lived their whole lives in one place, allowing selection of spouses to be made with a far greater understanding of who one was marrying. Extended family served as support. All of this was viewed by the managerial elites who took over in the 1930s as an inefficiency and a rival node of power to the state. Also, there were a wide range of jobs to suite all sorts of people. The globalists hadn’t come along with their insane idea of deindustrializing the West and turning it into a service/IT economic zone.

Love it. I remember a time before fake food and massive use of glyphosphate and xenoestrogens. I also remember diversified farms that had a mix of crops and livestock, where manure made it possible to avoid the spiraling dependence on chemical fertilizers that we have now. But this was so inefficient and neoliberal globalism only cares about GDP, the concentration of wealth into the managerial elite, and centralization of everything into massive corporations. So we got what we got.

I agree that things are too complicated nowadays, but a gun fight is too simple. I think simple rules and laws should be abided by and if someone murders in cold blood or rapes, they should be hung or tortured then killed

Ehh... it still exists, but divorce rates are much higher nowadays. People didn't marry for love as much in the past. They married more to increase or keep status and wealth in families.

Now that compatibility is a big thing nowadays, it's also easy to leave someone because you don't have any religious or family duty to stay with them. People leave as soon as there's a little bump in the relationship (a small thing about their partner they don't like)
