They could’ve applied for citizenship the last 4 years even 8 years if they were here that long so, I don’t feel bad for just 200 Indians…

However I do want to make clear, it is a bit inhumane to drag them away in handcuffs and brutally mistreat them just for being undocumented wanting to seek a better life. I’ve heard stories from India and it can get a bit ugly for a lot of people especially if you are a woman. A lot of people who support these policies also support the notion, “I don’t want the government rounding me up and treating me like an animal when I’m a man” so why wouldn’t you treat this universally? We all came from immigrants, a lot of people forget that.

Bottomline, 200 is not a number to complain about though when you are in America’s borders you should be treated with certain rights & liberties which this current Administration wants to end by revoking Birthright which would allow future administrations to cherrypick which citizens get treated as citizens & which lose Democratic freedoms of speech, religion, peaceful protest / organize , to own a firearm , and to life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness…. Which I feel like as a natural born citizen we should be defending especially since it comes from the Constitution.

If they had been stopped at the border when they tried to enter the country illegally, they could have gone back to India on their own, as normal people. But they have committed a serious crime of illegal entry, and deserve to be handled, safely, the way any other criminal is handled when being transported to another location... restrained.
