It has gotten to the point where their ratings are so low and the circulation has plummeted they are having mass firings and eventually you will see a thinning of the herd. Nobody believes anything that they see or read in any of these state run media.
5.8K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. Politico and NPR have always been really bad... turns out there was a reason for it. I won't be surprised if it's discovered that Axios was also part of the same pot.
As for the big TV news networks, that's really hard because they've all had at least a few major screw ups in recent years, and spout off the same verbatim talking points... I'm inclined to say MSNBC just because of all the overt racists that can't be taken seriously, but CNN has more people who are directly connected to political machines that are obviously acting as propaganda fixers. I think ABC is actually considered more skewed, but they also act like a tagalong compared to the others.
NYT has always been kind of a joke that everyone knows exactly where they're coming from. WaPo in my opinion is much more deserving of the tarring and feathering treatment because they're put on a pedestal of having been a gold standard of objective journalism years ago, but this was never actually the case. In a modern context, they've become extremely finger in the wind, probably because of Bezos.
A major problem with basically all media (to include ones on the right) is that they have almost completely stopped doing any form of investigative journalism, and instead get their talking points directly from a handful of political contributors, social media posts, and company policies dictating subject matter. The excuse is that investigative journalism is too expensive... So the alternative is to just feed bullsh*t spin to fit a predetermined result all day, and pay legacy anchors who get fewer views than mid-sized YouTube and Rumble channels millions of dollars a year.

1 yFoxNews is the only one that sells me on a version of reality that I never personally have found to be true in real life. It’s poisoning the minds of Americans, particularly the seniors. I’ve never had a news outfit tell me more consistently that the world is on fire, only for me to walk out to a beautiful day in America, encountering absolutely none of the problems they want me to believe are rampant.

@Max3205 Let me know when MSNBC gets busted in court and has to pay over 3/4 of a BILLION dollars. And round two is coming for them! It’s SmartMatic’s turn to cash in! Remember last time, when all the leaked text messages came out in discovery, and all the talking heads were saying COMPLETELY different things than what they’d turn around and tell you on air? That was crazy. But I’ll definitely be waiting to see the left wing outfit that gets proven to be liars in a court of law, the only place I care about.

@Max3205 just lmfao🤦♂️🤣

@WhiteSteve. Did you ever see illegal aliens crossing the border on CNN? Did you see Leslie Stahl insist that Hunters Laptop was not real, even after the FBI said it was. When the Crazy Buzzys Riast Beef guy got murdered by an illegal alien it was thr local Fox Affiliate that reported it was an illegal alien instead of "he was a Lynn man."

I just LOVE how the left defends their own when corruption is evident in the cover-up of an issue. They smugly express said evidence is false, knowing full well it is true. They stand proudly among the hog shit puffing and preening as having won the argument, then switch over to another bleeding heart tale to shine a light on their virtue. Ha, hahahaha, hah!
What a maroon! - 1 y
I’m not a fan of any TV news outfit, but I’d prefer “lying by omission” over “lying “that” or “about how” things happened”, with a CLEAR agenda of inspiring disdain towards other humans among their viewers.
I’ll never forget FoxNews being caught using years-old video from the peak of the pandemic (during Trump’s first term) to push this whole “BiDeN’s aMeRiCa!” fallacy later down the line, using the same shoplifter footage from ONE place, just all of their fake “cRiMe iS oUt Of CoNtRoL!” bust designed to scare older white people, lmfao - 1 y
Yes, that sounds unbelievable. Yet people believe it just because it is on Fox--that's the danger. I will never forget how one of their reporter was fired--don't know if it was also for lying or for something else. I don't watch CNN anymore, or any other news sources that seem to be censored for a while, or not reporting what I see on TikTok. I get a lot of news there, about the US, Canada, and England, believe it or not, as well as the world. For example, did you know what there are protests going on in the world against Trump? They are rooting for America and feel sorry for us.
What I see there reported by smart people like Arnold Parmas, for example, is much more than what I would see on the regular news.
5.3K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. You must realise you're only listing sources that actual dishonest news sources are lying about, surely?
https://mediabiasfactcheck.com/fake-news/
Click the link, check out a site or two, and see WHY the real fake news sites are on the list.
For example https://mediabiasfactcheck.com/one-america-news-network/ :
"In review, OAN is a far-right biased news channel and website that uses moderately loaded words in headlines and articles such as this: Sen. Schumer Refuses To Back Down On Border Wall Funding. This article does not offer sourcing at all. In another article, Senate Floats Restrictions On Detentions Of Illegal Aliens In Government Spending Bill, there is a lack of sourced information.
One America News writes articles that are very short and easy to read. They aim to keep stories under 1 minute long. Story selection almost always favors the right and, in particular, President Donald Trump. An article in AdWeek describes how the owner of Herring Networks directs his newsroom to favor Trump: “According to internal emails, Herring has directed his channel to push Trump’s candidacy, scuttle stories about police shootings, encourage antiabortion stories, minimize coverage of Russian aggression, and steer away from the new president’s troubles, according to more than a dozen current and former producers, writers and anchors, as well as internal emails from Herring and his top news executives.”
OAN has also promoted right-wing conspiracies such as the Seth Rich Murder and no evidence of chemical attacks in Syria. Further, during the Coronavirus outbreak of 2020, they have frequently promoted misinformation, as evidenced by the failed fact checks below. Is OAN right-biased? Yes."
(Naturally, all the claims made are sourced.)

1 yI couldn't vote because I think they all took their marching orders and talking points from the same source. I mean they'd all start saying the same thing at the same time... it's obviously coordinated.
Now that most of them have been found out that they were getting paid through special "government" subscriptions to the tune of $millions$, I really think they were all shit. This guy really explained how they worked well...

1 yMOST of today's quiescent press is, if not dishonest, too willing to give Trump a pass on his agenda.
26 Reply- 1 y
In all fairness, Trump is doing exactly what he said he would do when he was campaigning and that is what people voted for. So, they aren't "giving him a pass" unless you think the media's job is to advocate for policy rather than report the news.
@SweetDripp The media once said its mission was to afflict the comfortable and comfort the afflicted. Now, because of media mergers resulting in many fewer news outlets, save on the right, the New Media sees itself as the protector of those in authority.
- 1 y
You can't use the media's definition of what the media should do to say the media aren't doing what the media should do. Your logic is circular... a self-licking ice cream cone.
@SweetDripp Not really. Google the long-ago press' ideal as the voice of the voiceless.
- 1 y
@beefcakebradybatson That is just the excuse they give so they can flat out lie and distort the truth.. The role of a free press is to print the truth, not favor one group over another. The fake news has been caught in so many lies that nobody believes them. Nobody watches them a MSNBC nd soon they will be gone.
MSNBC will soon be showing old TV shows from the 50s and 60s. CNN will just have a Time and Temperature graphic 24/7. A free press points out societal inequities, which ARE truths. Perhaps you want today's Trump a**-kissing reporters who go along to get along to avoid dust-ups with King Sleaze.(Woodward and Bernstein exposed Watergate, leading to Nixon's resignation to avoid certain impeachment and conviction.)

A}Trump never said that his administration is not lowering prices. On the contrary, he has said that lowering gas prices is one of the first things he is doing. He signed an Executive Order opening up hundreds of miles of coastline for drilling. He is also going to finish the Keystone pipeline. That will cause the price of gas to go down and eventually everything else will go down. Lowering the corporate tax rate will make the cost of doing business less which translated into lower prices as well.
B) It was Biden who said it was patriotic to pay higher prices. - 1 y

@Max3205 Fox is the only outlet that reported on Hunter's laptop. There are many instances in which they report the truth when other new outlets report nothing.
An illegal alien killed a local restaurant owner last Friday where I live. It was nowhere to be found except the local Fox affiliate.
MSNBC gets my vote. I hope Elon buys that stupid garbage Channel and turns it into the DOGE Channel. Everyday they could just show all the wasteful spending the Democrats are doing. Do we need to use millions of American tax dollars to bring Sesame Street to Iraq? Look at how many homeless people could be fed.
