Things like Biden's kid working in the energy sector there doesn't ring any alarm to our left here in the States because they're just fighting for their "side" and don't understand much more than what cable television has fed them. There was no "western intervention in 2014", that was when the people of Ukraine decided they didn't want to be ruled by Russia through Yanukovych, who first almost came to power in a stolen election ten years earlier, then won a genuine election (advised by Paul Manafort) based on the lie that he would ensure Ukraine’s integration into Europe. His regime was not only corrupt but brutally authoritarian and had a hundred protesters shot and killed who were against his sudden turn towards Russia. That led to an impeachment process and him being fleeing the country to Russia.
The only interventions were coming, as usual, from Russia against the will of the Ukrainian people.

I get that you got the receipts. But my original argument is this is old shit stockpiles that we need to get rid of.
So we lend lease to Ukraine we empty our stagnating stockpiles then grow into our new more advanced stuff. Ultimately better everything.
So all of our outdated stuff is stuffing Russia away from America mainland as Russia goes bankrupt again.
Even from there we hold the rebates as Ukraine as a economic power of resources. So we get paid back in spades with intrest and first dibs of future development.

Also worth noting that those weapons were made to destroy Russia AKA USA is and has been spending an ungodly amount of money to directly counter Russia. Using them for their intended purpose is a nice bonus but the real benefit is being able to drop military spending going forward since a threat has been removed permanently.

Yes its outdated. Most of the things you listed are from the cold war era and has been replaced decades ago in the military. Giving them money to pay American corporations is also just another way to subsidize the industry which you got to do anyways to maintain military readiness.

That is a M1126 infantry carrier vehicle. Putting aside that this model is rather old, having been introduced in 2002, it is a model that is designed to fight insurgencies such as the war in Iraq and Afghanistan. USA is no longer trying to engage in those kinds of conflicts which means that model no longer has any real purpose aside from also being of an old design. Yes its obsolete.

First of all, the Stryker is built on a 28 old chassis based on a design from 1976 and the reason that it has so many variants developed right now is because it is cheaper to do it than to develop a new dedicated vehicle. Everything about it is a compromise and it has a rather bad trackrecord in the military.
And again, what you showed is a model developed for fighting farmers in the middle east, not peer nations. Which is important since USA has a couple of thousands of the things and while you point out that they are desperately trying to modernize and upgrade it into something useful, most of them are just going to be rusting away in storage while in their old configurations like what has happened to the Black Hawk, Abrams etc..
Fundamentally Stryker is a stop-gap measure.

@Syntosi APC is a broad term for armor that carries troops.. The Abrahams though out of date was an APC but referred to as an IFV. The Stryker is modular and even the APC version can be fitted with a 30mm cannon.
A standard Stryker Brigade typically consists of: 130 Infantry Carrier Vehicles; 9 Anti-Tank Guided Missile Vehicles; 27 Medical Evacuation Vehicles; 12 Engineer Squad Vehicles; 32 Commander's Vehicles; 36 120 mm Mounted Mortar Carriers; 56 Reconnaissance Vehicles; 13 Fire Support Vehicles; three NBC Reconnaissance Vehicles; and 12 105 mm Mobile Gun Systems.
Currently there is nothing better in the field or as advanced as the Stryker.
Quick and dirty round up. Usa wants new future proof military equipment. Today's military stockpile while effective is planning on being replaced one way or another.

And no, the Stryker is not modular. It can be somewhat easily modified since its basically just a box on wheels but the conversion is permanent and not something you can swap.
As for vehicles that are more advanced than Stryker? CV90 for starters. The L-ATV is also more advanced and a bunch of other stuff..

@Syntosi the CV90 is a IFV, the styker comes as an IFV too. The CV90 is from the late 80s and like the Bradley IFV and other IFVs the main criticism is that they don't carry many troops and though they have a decent main gun they can't carry enough ammunition. The L TAV is replacing the Humvee partially and the US military will probably buy off the shelf trucks from dodge and ram for use in non-combat related missions.
The CV90 is another "box on wheels" although in this case tracks that has countless versions, its just that its more modern than the platform Stryker is built on. Here is the APC version of CV90

And no, neither the CV90 or the Stryker is modular. Being modular means you can swap pieces around which you can't in either of these. Once the pieces are installed you would have to cut them up to replace them again. And while yes, the CV90 carries half the troops of larger IVF's or APC's that does not escape the fact that the CV90 is more advanced. Also the IFV's are not supposed to replace the role of for example a tank so the main gun and ammunition supply is there only as a support for the infantry rather than a main combatant.

M1129 mortar carrier (MC): armed with Soltam 120 mm and Cardom recoil mortar system (RMS), this version provides indirect fire support to fellow infantry with screening obscurants, suppressive forces and on-call supporting fires including HE, illumination, IR illumination, smoke, precision guided, and DPICM cluster bombs. The XM395 precision guided mortar munition (PGMM) can be used to attack point targets at extended ranges with GPS guidance. Vehicles at battalion level also carry the 81 mm mortar for dismounted use, while company mortar vehicles carry the 60 mm mortar.[142]
M1130 commander's vehicle (CV): This vehicle provides commanders with communication, data, and control functions to analyze and prepare information for combat missions; it can also link to aircraft antenna/power for planning missions while aboard transport aircraft. They are deployed as three vehicles per brigade headquarters, two per battalion headquarters and two per infantry company.
M1131 fire support vehicle (FSV): This version is organic to maneuver companies and provides surveillance and communications (4 secure combat radio nets), with target acquisition/identification/tracking/designation being transmitted automatically to the shooting units.
M1132 engineer squad vehicle (ESV): This vehicle provides mobility and limited counter mobility support. Integrated into the ESV are obstacle neutralization and lane marking systems and mine detection devices. The ESV with its attachments provides a partial solution to the obstacle clearance role, primarily for clearance of hastily emplaced mines on hard surfaces and rubble, plus will enable the Engineer squad to control future robotic based systems.
M1133 medical evacuation vehicle (MEV): This is used as the en route care platform for brigade units, part of the battalion aid station, providing treatment for serious injury and advanced trauma as an integrated part of the combat forward formation. An attendant's seat allows the attendant to change position and visually monitor all patients while the vehicle is in motion. Medical personnel must be seated for safety while the vehicle is in motion, but able to visually monitor patients. Geneva Convention markings can be masked/removed as required
M1134 anti-tank guided missile vehicle (ATGM): It is a missile vehicle armed with the TOW missile to reinforce the brigade's infantry and reconnaissance, providing long-range anti-tank fires against armor beyond tank gun effective range. The separate anti-tank company can also be used to shape the battlefield, reinforce the infantry battalions and reconnaissance squadron (e. g. counter-reconnaissance), serve as a reserve, and of course may counterattack. Vehicle commanders independently locate secondary targets while the gunner is engaging the primary. After ready rounds are fired, crewman will need to rearm the launcher. A vehicle commander, gunner, loader, and driver operate the ATGM in a tactical environment and to carry equipment if the missile launcher is used in a dismounted mode.
M1135 nuclear, biological, chemical, reconnaissance vehicle (NBCRV): This vehicle automatically integrates contamination information from detectors with input from navigation and meteorological systems and transmits digital NBC warning messages to warn follow-on forces. The core of the NBC RV is its onboard integrated NBC sensor suite and integrated meteorological system. An NBC positive overpressure system minimizes cross-contamination of samples and detection instruments, provides crew protection, and allows extended operations at MOPP 0

Firstly Zelensky was not even charge when the conflict originally begun and Ukraine was seeking a trade deal with EU. NATO membership wasn't even on the table.

Ryazan refinery got hit (again) yesterday and drone attacks are reaching deep into Russia. Orc AD isn't what its used to be and Ukraine is getting a increasing variety of standoff weapons.

2014 was 6 years later. At the time there wouldn't have been the political capital for Ukraine to join NATO and in 2022 it wasn't even on the table with the ongoing frozen conflict.
On the contrary Sweden and Finland joined NATO due to Russia's actions. Preventing a NATO enlargement could have been prevented by soft influenced but what Putler really is after is territory which requires war.

My point was that it showed that Russian fortified positions can be breached.
Also militarily it has acted as a diversion pulling Russian troops away from elsewhere and politically it has ensured that Putler can't very well freeze the conflict on existing lines.
