The cost, mostly. Students aren't getting much bang for the buck, and universities are flush with so much cash that they often take up construction and real estate projects because they look for ways to spend it.

Beyond that, so much of the government's research money goes to unproductive research. Universities don't really need government money to fund their research.

If there are dead people receiving social security, why not name them all, they have no expectation of privacy, being dead and all.

Look how Asians and white folks are being discriminated against for college places. Look how Jews are over represented in elite colleges despite bring a tiny minority. So why are Asians being discriminated against for college places? As a member of the Asian community I had to lie and pretend I was a middle eastern Muslim lesbian to get a college place. Had been rejected because of my Asian "personality".

Asians are discriminated against because they are generally (and wrongly) seen as too competitive against non-Asians. Most of my Asian friends with whom I went to college were extremely smart and had great study habits, and others who were not so bright and didn't study well didn't like that.

Based on the comments I'm reading here, college education doesn't make a person a good human. It's become an ideological breeding ground rather than it's intended purpose of teaching students concrete principles and skills associated with a chosen career path. But what do I know, I'm an uneducated conservative who chose to learn from men rather than pay some liberal cunt to rape my mind for 4-6 years.
