tRump is severely mentally damaged. And he's a trust fund baby who has never had to work for anything. I doubt he's ever been in a fistfight in his life.

Daddy Fred tRump was by all accounts a piece of shit. He fucked up all of his kids but, none were fucked up more than little Donnie who suffers from huge feelings of inadequacy. Little Donnie spent his childhood chasing approval from daddy that was never delivered.

One thing little Donnie never had to worry about was money. Daddy was a slum lord. So tRump grew up having every obstacle removed for him. Daddy sent him to private schools and bought him diplomas. Daddy sent little Donnie to doctors who could be bought to get him 4 draft deferments during the Vietnam war. Daddy used his influence to get his little dimwit into a good school. And daddy bought that diploma too.

All of this protected existence just make tRump's feelings of inadequacy worse. He knows he's a piece of shit. And he desperately want to "be somebody". But he's always been an outcast among New York's "old money" who view him as the uncouth buffoon which he is.

So tRump became a bully. Using his money to crap on people like people have crapped on him his entire life. He talks rich but he's mired in debt. He talks tough but he's never been in a fight in his entire life. He's a coward who hid from military service. HE says he's smart but he's a lazy moron who has put any effort into learning anything in his life.

All the feelings of inadequacy and the lies have made tRump extremely vulnerable. He lives in fear constantly. Fear of being found out to be a liar, a moron, bad at business, a coward. It's the root of his mental illness. And that's the root of his extremely thin skin. He's a man baby at this point.

I'm Canadian. We can't knock him out. We can survive a tariff war if we diversify properly and make some sacrifices back home. But all Trump has to do is announce he's going to roll tanks over the Canadian border and it's over. He doesn't even have to send them. He just has to say he will. Our leaders will capitulate because what is the point of trying to battle the world's most powerful military with zero chance and wasting millions of Canadian lives? There won't be any armed conflict. If he really wants this land, he'll take it without a shot fired. And Trump will do it too. We have no doubt whatsoever. We saw him hand Ukraine over to the Russians. He wants this land and our resources. Our leaders will push back until the threat of military invention and then they'll capitulate. We'll then become Americans. And that's that. The United States has never picked a fight with anybody of equal strength. Ever. Just nations they could roll over, always. Let's see how they do with China.

His idea to bring in income with tariffs is not working. If he wants to bring in some money, then tax the rich who make $Billions but may pay less in taxes than you do. I'd really like to see what Trump and Musk pay in taxes. Meanwhile, they take away things that help the poor and their children. What a crock!

We don't pay the other country's tariffs any more than they pay ours. In each case the consumers of the country imposing the tariffs will pay an artificial increase in cost. But you're correct in that unpredictable revenue streams from tariffs are not a dependable replacement for an income tax when it comes to a dependable revenue stream to fund a government. Tariffs are also the most regressive form of consumption tax that will hit the poor and middle class hardest.
