don't care. some things I just don't like about electrics... like the fireball shooting lithium dust all over the place. I'm sure one could be made I'd buy, but test drove tesla, evaluated the cyber truck... and no thanks. I like Elon, I don't like the cars.

Biden was right on the money... smart guy... completely gut the economy of gas cars and force people to drive electric... and then, and only then would I buy one. Save the planet from climate, don't think so. May even hurt and cause more problems.

But he's wrong to do that. I favor hybrid and what is now coming of age... hydrogen... at least in concept. I don't know the details on hydrogen reality. The other thing I favor is bicycle... so get on your bike and ride!

No, I would not buy a Tesla. My reasoning would go something like this from most important to least important.

1.) Tesla vehicles represent poor economic value even with artificial government price supports (tax credits).

2.) The Tesla maintenance and repair business model is really bad for consumers. High cost and low accessibility.

3.) Elon Musk is a complete piece of shit trust fund baby and con man with a massive ego who is destroying this country. I don't want to put a penny in his pocket.

I've always liked Elon.

And, I still do.

It makes no difference whether I like him or not.

For years, I bought Teslas for my businesses.

However, the Model S is the only Tesla model I retained in my fleets of company cars.

They're for my top brass employees.

Replaced by reliable hybrids, all the Model 3s & Ys are gone.

The Model X and the Cybertruck were never worth considering.

First of all, Musk doesn't own Tesla. He's the largest individual shareholder, but it's a minor portion. Mutual funds and other pooled money are the biggest shareholders. By the way, Musk's brother is the second largest individual shareholder, but it's a tiny portion.

I would not buy a Tesla and it has nothing to do with Musk. I have no desire to own one. In the off chance I bought an EV, it wouldn't be a Tesla. It would be from a well established company. It's too damn hard to start a car company from scratch, and it takes years to work all the bugs out.

I wouldn't buy a Testla because those cars don't offer enough quality for money they cost. Teslas costs like BMW or Mercedes but you will in a milliseconds notice a quality difference when you sit inside those cars and Tesla that feels like cheap romanian Dacia.

I think Musk is a smart guy , but I'd never buy the scrip , incredibly dangerous , no succession plan , and he just takes too much out of the company.

It's a negative influence for me. I can't afford a Tesla anyways, so practically it makes no difference. But if I could afford it, I would just buy a different, better electric vehicle that also doesn't profit someone who is friendly with neo-nazis.

I wouldn't own a Tesla or any other electric vehicle. But Elon's ownership doesn't influence me in the least.

I know well off latte-liberals who were flocking to buy Teslas back in the day, regardless of Elon's wealth. All because of their belief in the "climate change" hoax and their desire to virtue signal.
But now they hate Tesla just because of Elon's association with Trump.

Never been a fan of the car and recent events haven't exactly helped endear it to me. Leaving aside I don't want to put money in a nazis pocket or worry about people smashing it up or that American cars are unreliable I think it'll be hard to get spare parts or repairs done on them soon.
