I just don't understand why he wants to join the Commonwealth. He won't get any leadership position in it. He doesn't care about climate change. He doesn't want to help poorer countries because him and Musk are trying to cut off foreign aid. Maybe he thinks he can absorb Canada? Or maybe he wants to build golf courses in the UK?

He is trying desperately to make himself a king so abandoning democracy and freedom of speech to turn us into North Korea is similar to making us a monarchy like GB used to be.

It has to get passed through congress, so he can't do it unless they give him the okay. Even if he did he still has his obligations to help poor countries and has to help with climate change. Britain will have forum to complain at him from.
