The obvious answer is that what modern feminism has become is sad and pathetic compared to what it was originally, and calling yourself a feminist today is supporting today's sad and pathetic feminism, which is driven by hate and dishonesty.

The asker herself is a great example of that. She expresses her bitterness and hatred for men here on GAG every day. She is the embodiment of modern feminism. If she really wanted to understand why feminism is so despised today, she could just pick up a mirror and open her eyes.
