Is anyone else having issues buying American products?

Last night, I was practically DYING from pollen allergies. So I went shopping for an air purifier.

Firstly, on Amazon. com, there is no search filter for 'Made in USA.'

Secondly there's no standardized way to verify country of origin.

Thirdly, when I Google 'air purifiers made in USA' they cost like $500. There's a company called Austin Air, and those things look like beasts. Maybe I'd put one in a factory.

I ended up overnighting a purifier from the Clorox brand that works really well and was $89. When the box arrived on my doorstep, it said "Made In China"

As much as I love my country and the POTUS, I wish they would organize this effort to stimulate the manufacturing sector a lot better.

This had been going on for decades. Every year it got a little worse. I still have my mother's old Emerson air conditioner that she bought in the 60s and it still works. I have an air conditioner that I bought from Sears that was made in China and it died after 3 years.
I just bought a new heating pad for my poor, tired back and I was able to find one made by Sunbeam but I had to buy it on line.

yes, they used to make radios but my father brought this home in the 60s. I think it fell off a truck. It was made in USA and it is a lot heavier than the ones you buy today but it still works. I just had central air conditioning put in my house a year ago so maybe I could sell it on Facebook Yard Sale.

I'm getting what I'm getting, regardless of country of origin. Price is my only concern. If products made outside the US are still cheaper and do the job I want them to do, then that's where I'm getting them. Trump has to stimulate our economy by making things here cheaper, not by making things made elsewhere more expensive.

Nope, I'm in England. Many American-made products, such as food, beverages, and other commodities, are widely available here.
