nope, I do not follow it, but I do know that I am still fine, any loss I have is covered, so life is good. You can drive yourself nuts glues to a teleprompter watching it.
And it doesn't hurt to have someone that understands your needs and is not just looking out for themselves.
Swings like this are not uncommon at all. The market goes up, the market goes down, you just need to be diversified so you are fine for the long term and ride it out.
Investing in the market is a long-term investment, sure some do the quick buy and sell, but for me I am light years above where I was when I started investing.
It is still way above where it was and based on the market history things will improve over time.
@Fireguy17 You really think that Trump cares about you?
yeppers, eggs were 2.25 this week, and the cooler was full of them, gas dropped another.10/gallon at 2.79 charge, 2.75 cash in town, or at the costco it is 2.69 when going past there.
Other daily items have also gone down, all things that we use every day, so while we do not know each other personally, it is nice to see the improvements starting to happen in our day to day lives since he took office.
but everyone blamed him for the rising prices, they can't have it both ways!
So, either it wasn't his fault to begin with and people were wrong, or because of what he is doing it is working, and people are wrong.
Neither scenario fits the narrative. Things that make you go Hmmmm.
But that is ok, the people that put him in office are happy with the results, he is doing exactly what he was hired to do and that is all that matters.
For others it will be a long 4 years, plus another 8.
Wow all of that time to sit around bitter as heck.
The Dow and NASDAQ peaked in December but since the 3rd week of Feb when the S&P peaked it's been a sharp drop. It's telling when he reveals his plan to grow business and being jobs back to America and the market reacts negatively. Publicly traded companies have to reveal projected earnings and that factors into share prices somewhat. Too many companies are adjusting their projected earnings way down. There won't be enough time between now and the midterms for the market to recovery.
The bigger issue might be the money exciting the markets and pouring into the bond market which will drive up borrowing costs.
No pain no gain… that’s based on fear.
that’s what was wrong with the US for a long long time… the market wasn’t healthy!
The stock market doesn’t define the purpose of Trump’s leadership to restructure the nation.
Yes, and they were good in December, and after he took office they plummeted. I dont own a LOT of stock and I am glad I don't--I've lost about $1,000.
@Amy10223
Did you sell?
I sold all my Tesla shares like 3 weeks ago.

Stock markets are volatile by nature, and short-term dips—especially amid global uncertainty—don’t define the success or failure of an administration. The bigger picture is this: President Trump’s economic agenda isn’t about Wall Street metrics—it’s about restructuring our trade dependencies, bringing manufacturing back, and standing up to countries like China who’ve taken advantage of us for decades.
Temporary market drops are the price of long-term independence. That’s leadership, not failure.

I agree with everything you said here… I must add… the American greed for cheap labors is also a factor.
P. Trump also adressed this.
I like his leadership role who takes responsibilities and admitted our fault for allowing this to run for over 30 years.
Yes, of course I have. Anytime you reboot an entire economy there is bound to be some chaos. I still think that Trump is doing the right thing instead of just taking the easy way out and kick the can down the road. In two weeks President Trump has forced over 80 countries to negotiate better trade deals and at the same time he has started the decline of the Chinese economy.
When he was running for re-election he said he would impose tariffs and bring good jobs back to America and provide tax cuts for the middle class as well as cut waste from the government. It looks like he is doing exactly what he said he would do.
yes but oddly, there is no sign of that on Fox "News". weird. It may be they don't look at stocks.
shaking up the system...
question is... where is that $ going... the dollar is going down. Gold? and those are sales... taxable gains... count some additional income next year for the fed.
@msc545 im feeling particularly pessimistic about the worldwide stock market heading into this Easter 🐇🐇🐇 sad faces all around lol - glad I don't invest in it. I'd have more luck on a 1 horse out of whatever amount of 10-15 horses racing.
Once the tariff issue is settled, and it will be this month, the markets will stabilize. The markets are just like Democrats They are twitchy. They jump All over the place if an oil sheik farts. President Trump has until the midterms to put his policies in effect. if he does not do that, he will lose control of the House and Senate. And then this country circles and the drain down the shithole. So as the midterms approach, just in case, be sure to buy guns and ammunition.
Its fucking beautiful. Eat the rich. The Markets are only for the rich. Buy Bitcoin, gold or governmemt bonds. Force the Fed to cut rates and let's refinance this debt. Make America Great alAgain. Despite all of the stupid people that don't understand how good this is.
Id rather see Trump & cronies crypto accounts after the biggest insider trading scandal EVER. He belongs in jail.
Horrific but we've watched this horror film quite a few times before.
Only... I think the directors forgot to stop filming during the credits!
no, I don't care for it... since I don't gamble with my assets
