Why didn't you think that it wouldn't crash?
Did you ever think that the stock market would crash during Biden's presidency?
Why didn't you think that it wouldn't crash?
In 2020 I lost my job because of covid and I was going to just collect unemployment for as long as I could and then I was going to retire. The next year when Biden was president , the stock market tumbled so far that my retirement account was down quite a bit. At the same time gas prices doubled overnight, finally levelling off at sa little more than 5 bucks a gallon, a new worlds record. I did not know how much worse it would get so I found a new job and worked for another 3 years. I retired a few months before the 2024 election. I was pretty sure that Trump would win but I figured if the democrats somehow were able to steal it again, we would all be screwed anyway.
Big investors do not want to lose a fortune and held on for four years.

The idea of money is an illusion. It's power comes from a collective decision to work toward the same goal. Oppenheimer creates the bomb and said the only way to stop from blowing up the world is to stop trying not to blow it up... what controls the stock market is nothing more then a collective of common beliefs. So if enough people believe something will end the world it will cause it to happen (the market will fall). Same is true if we try and fix the world (if enough people work toward putting money into the economy bettering things, stock markets rise). Balance between believing we are doomed and perfection is how we insure the world survives another day.
Well, it didn't crash, in part because of Fed easy money and a hugely expansionary fiscal policy, but the higher inflation during much of his term reduced real returns.
@sage2021 What goes up - must inevitably come down... and that Applies to EVERYTHING, Sage! When Trump started the Tariffs, the stock market tumbled, but NOW back up to more that what it was prior.
Businesses are resilient if they aren't overly restricted by government. They will adapt to leverage whatever market conditions exist.
No. Didn’t care. Not good with the market. When I did see my investment go down. I put in fixed.
no... because I don't follow propaganda
