It wouldn't be if it were the same cop who didn't help you as a child. But, in general, cops have been helping you for a very long time, and not wanting to help a cop despite all they've done for you is hypocritical.

When he stalked me and threatened me, no help. When people trespassed on my property, no help. When i had a poacher on my land, no help.

I have no way of verifying if what you're saying is true. For all I know, they could be lies. However, the police have been able to keep your community (or country) relatively free of crime. I'm sure you would be in a far worse position if there weren't a police force enforcing the law. Let's hope you never experience such a situation.

Depends. On who the cop is. How the cop got into that situation. There are a lot of dirty and/or stupid and/or defective personalities working as cops who don't belong anywhere near a badge and a gun. But what we hear about are the bad apples. Not all cops are bad. Some are trying to do the job right.
