Is it time to strip China of its Developing Nation status?

It is quite crazy China has developing nation status when it clearly isn't. The United Nations recognizes it as a developing nation which shows how fucked in the head that August body is.

It think it is kinda important to do so ASAP before it does become a developing nation again. With the US tariffs a lot of businesses look as though will close. From stats I saw last night, orders have dried up, orders are being canceled, container loads being cancelled etc.

I'm somewhat biased as an Australian because I have yet to forgive them for the 80% covid-19 tariffs and for sending a war fleet to the Tasman Sea last month.

How can the country with the second largest GDP in the world (other countries behind China are far behind), the largest industrial capacity in the world and the largest purchasing power in the world, be considered a developing country?

It seems that China only has to declare itself to be a 'developing country' and then it is and exempt from from needing to restrict cO2 emissions.

Oh yes! China emits more than US, EU, and India combined but gets a free pass because it claims to be developing. This plays into climate reparations (which equally are not going to happen) because it is a developing country.

China's developing nation status doesn't amount to much but I find the denial of reality offensive mostly.

In this case, there is a great deal of hypocrisy on the part of the West. China emits a lot of CO2 because its economy is essentially based on huge industry.

Let's stop relocating and producing in China. Oh, but who's willing to pay the price for goods made in the West?

the "developing country" status means that such country has a RELATIVE low standard living for the majority of the people, which are often the middle class and the poor... it means that if you struggle in that country YOU STRUGGLE for real in that country... especially compared to the elite in your country

in Developing Countries, you can afford to be broke while still driving, renting a place, phone with internet and come here to G@G and claim to be struggling... lol
