1st Constitutional Crisis in USA this year?

So for those people who are not keeping up, the government and the justice system is currently in a heated court case regarding the people who were deported to El Salvador and imprisoned there.

Most notably there is one individual, Abrego Garcia who both the courts and the government has conceded were deported on false charges. The government claims it was due to an "administrative error".

Point is that to make a very long story short (the government is trying to be obstructive in the court so there is maximum bullshit), the US government has just defied a direct order from SCOTUS to recover Abrego Garcia.

A constitutional crisis is a problem or conflict in the function of a government that the political constitution or other fundamental governing law is perceived to be unable to resolve. In other words, having the government refuse to comply with the court system has just triggered a constitutional crisis that we do not currently know how to resolve.

We are currently in a situation where the judge can order U. S. Marshals to physically go after the government itself and we might have a standoff brewing. Unless the government backs down then things are going to become very bad going forward. So how do you think this will be resolved?

@Syntosi The US Marshals are an agency of the Justice Department which Pam Bondi now runs, so what do you thnk will or more likely will not happen if the court tells the Marshals to go after any functionaries of the government?

I predict the Court will hold the government or at least the representatives of the government in contempt, and nothing at all will come of it - except that - the court will lose all of its power to compel behavior from the government, and that is very bad.

Yepp this is partially why this is a constitutional crisis. The US Marshals is under the DOJ but is supposed to serve the constitution and the courts so what happens if the courts tells the US Marshals to apprehend the DOJ?

I also think that the judge can in theory deputize someone to do the job of the US Marshals for them if they refuse. In other words, I would find it hilarious if the judge deputized an Anti-fa mob to go raid the DOJ and drag them into court. Its almost poetic in a way but that would definitely start a civil war.

@msc545 He ran the organization on the Columbia campus. Besides he is here on a student visa. He is not a student anymore and he is aligned with a terrorist organization (Hamas) . The government can revoke any visa at any time. They do not even need a reason.
His visa has been revoked by the US state department and he is subject to be deported. I do not even understand why he is even still here.

I explained that in the question. A constitutional crisis is basically a situation where we do not have an established way to resolve it. Laws and the constitution outlines how to resolve most things but this is outside the scope of what has been outlined in either of these so we dont really know what happens next.

The easiest is if one side backs down. Otherwise one side is going to have to enforce the compliance of the other. On the extreme end this would result in a civil war.
