it's so distressing to hear people say things like that. I go to church, I accepted Christ as my savior, and I've not heard that in church. but I've heard the political angles for sure in church because people have such strong opinions on touchy issues.

False. and it's disgusting... this is one of the problems I've had with church since around 2000 when I saw the mind control and manipulation. you have to be a strong person to listen for Christ's message while filtering out the opinions and pressures of man. Some people can do that, others not as much. Sadly, it is a dangerous place.

But I still would not throw Christ out, God out, etc.. that is all good, and there is a lot of good that comes from churches. Sadly, the bad exists and can be awful as it's filled with humans.

When I was 7 years old I went to church one Sunday. The pastor read something out of the Bible when he was finished he said. If you don't do this or that. Your going to go to hell

I look at him and said that's not what you just read. It didn't say anything close to that. When I git home I told my mom I'm never going back to church she asked me why and I told her what he read and what it said
( the words in the bible) and then what he said the words said and we had to believe him or we were all going to hell. If we didn't do it the pastor way she said OK

Yes. That pastor is getting too political. First off, he is not the judge of what is right or wrong. Secondly, Christianity is about redemption for mistakes; so even if God had come down from the heavens and declared that you must vote for Trump or be a sinner. You could not vote for Trump and then ask for forgiveness later; and would be accepted into heaven. Thirdly you are too young to have voted for Trump in the first place and it would have been a sin for you to illegal vote.
