Of course it's possible to not vote for Trump and still be religious. There are religious people out there who are not US citizens and are therefore not eligible to vote in US elections, You know!

On the other hand, and on a much more serious note, voting for soon-to-be President Donald Trump is certainly no one-way ticket to Heaven. It sure is a good deed, but it does not automatically outweigh a lifetime of sin. The only good deed that can actually outweigh a lifetime of sin, and even then only under very specific circumstances, is sacrificing Your own life to save someone else. Therefore, I believe that priest to be misguided at best.
