Who is lying about USA/China tariffs talks?

For those out of the loop; Trump claimed that USA and China are currently negotiating about tariffs, however according to China they were not aware of any such talks taking place.

Trump is lying of course, what else is new? He also claimed that 70 countries are calling him (at once!), begging to make a deal... Siiirrr, with tears rolling down their face. So strange that not a single negotiating country was named so far.

How would China benefit from lying about this? Though its also pretty weird that Trump seemingly is. Maybe whomever was supposed to send the Chinese the invitation screwed up the address and no one informed Mr. Cheetos?

Uhm... we are actively working on it, by delivering the second most materiel to Ukraine after the United States. This war will only end by Russia paying so high a blood toll, they withdraw their forces. In Afghanistan it took them ten years to realize it. I give them half the time for their Ukraine adventure.
