I've had multiple men from this site tell me that pregnancy takes no effort.. that it's just happens to a woman. Im always like wtf it's litterally the hardest thing a human could ever do. It's like these men's egos can't admit that someone else works harder than they do. They always gotta have it worse somehow. Even more worse than a woman who is sacrificing her life and body to create a new human 🙄

I've also had some men tell me that breastfeeding is easy as well yet breastfeeding takes more energy than your brain uses to function everyday. Yet these poor men 😢 with basic jobs are still more tired than a woman who is giving her body as a whole food source to her baby...

Why do some women act like being a father is easy?

You are intimately aware of everything that you do during a pregnancy but it is impossible for men to perceive all of the ways the pregnancy affects you. You see a man being a father and you observe some of the visible signs of what is involved, but it is impossible for you to perceive everything that a man does to be a good father. For example, some guys work 50 hours per week to support their family and allow the wife to stay at home with the children, and when the man comes home at night, he gets constant reminders of how the children are more bonded with the mother than with him. Most guys never open their mouth to complain about that but it is a painful experience.

Beyond the context of parenting, we are always more aware of our own sacrifices than we are of the sacrifices of others. That doesn't mean that others are sacrificing less; it means only that we are less aware of their sacrifices. That is why it is a foolish mistake to assume you are making more effort than your partner. "Who has it worse" is a fool's question, as it can't be answered in any valid way, and. . . why does the answer matter?

Nowhere has it been said it's easy and anyone who's known anyone who's been pregnant would say that and women who say MEN say these things are being disingenuous because they're paying attention to "avatars" online and not actual men. It's also done by most women who have not trained or practiced for it and most have only let someone lie on top of them and made them ejaculate into them so even at the start it's MEN lighting the fire.

However, YES it's a demanding long winded spell of bodily and emotionally demanding effort that gives a pedestal for women to arrive on when they become adults that remains with them through their lives. It gives them status and passes responsibility for them on to others to watch out for and support and care for them as well as provide for them once they've given birth.

There are many men, mostly the ones who are becoming fathers who DO realize how wearing being pregnant is. Though there is a minority of women who SAIL through pregnancy and breastfeeding.

I was fine until month 5, then I hit the wall, as runners say, and dragged my sorry ass through the final four months in misery.

My then-wife gave birth to 3 children, now grown, and was pregnant a few other times that didn't work out. I know that pregnancy is not easy. It's something we men could not do, unless it only lasted a few days and labor a few minutes. It's both physically and emotionally demanding on the woman... and on others.

I'm guessing some men think pregnancy is easy because they don't have to do it, and have limited experience with pregnant women. Plus, men often see pregnant women walking around and doing things.

I think generally it is easy for the most part.. except the morning sickness in the first 3 months, also that you feel you are staving sometimes, and in the last 2 months its exhausting plus you have trouble sleeping or finding a comfortable sleeping position. Other than that it isn't that bad.. Birthing is horrible tho that shit is NOT easy!
It's the same when you suffer from depression tho men will always say "Why are so fucking lazy?" when its like mf it was hard enough to have the strength not to slit my wrists today, but you are mad because I didn't vacuum the living room? They just don't get it because they don't go through it.

I agree with the women. Most of us are entirely unaware of what women experience throughout their pregnancies. We don’t typically understand how women’s’ hormones fluctuate throughout a regular menstrual cycle (let alone the vast changes that happen during pregnancy). We aren’t usually aware of how you’ll experience various things such as uterine contractions when dehydrated, increasing reflux as the baby grows, sudden urges to go to the bathroom when the baby drops, etc.

Because it is natural and because women desire to be pregnant. Pregnancy is not easy, and childbirth is painful. However, pregnancy is not even close to being one of the hardest things a human can do, such as suffering the loss of a child. It is not nearly as hard as the practice required to do an aerial cartwheel on a 4 inch balance beam. You carry a fetus for 9 months then it comes out.

Of course there is the need for clothing that will accommodate the size you’ll gain, have to walk with additional weight that doesn’t go away, the excruciating pain of childbirth, the anxiousness / stress from being a mother for the first time, let alone the financial burdens that come with raising a child also…. Yeah it is difficult.

Point is, mothers do a lot for us and it deserves recognition not brushing it aside like “big deal”. Fathers play an important role too, nobody is discrediting that though a lot of men forget the sacrifice women make. Just a thought.
