With all the talk in the media about Canada, Greenland, or even Puerto Rico possibly volunteering to become the 51st U. S. state, it’s time to ask the real question: What about our friends "across the pond," as they love to say in their cheeky way.

England already shares our language, absolutely loves our fast food, and let's face it — with all the political drama and immigration issues over there lately, maybe they'd prefer the simpler chaos of American football, building walls, deporting illegals, and the occasional riot in a Tesla parking lot.

Picture this, England:

• A new NFL team, the England Redcoats, based in London’s converted Wembley Stadium
• Driving on the right side of the road (finally!)
• Tea time replaced with a Starbuck's white mocha
• A statue of the king, genuflecting at Mount Rushmore
• The ultimate Brexit plot twist -- "Not only did we stick it to the EU, but we went USA"

Could Trump broker the deal as part of his third term? Should we offer Parliament a fast-track citizenship app?

Actually there was some public debate about that a long time ago because people thought they had greater ties with the USA than Europe. England was nicknamed the 51st state. Thankfully people saw sense.

Personal I think trying to make a deal with Trump is cowardice, it's appeasing a crocodile and hoping it eats you last.

I am thinking outside the box here. What about Cuba? It is 90 miles from Florida and the citizens are disgusted with Communism and would like to live in a Constitutional Republic. It has a lot of natural resources, they have a lot of agriculture andI think there is potential for giant theme park.

I am in favor of granting Puerto Rico independence. just as we did the Philippines, that we also acquired during the Spanish American War. both in terms of. Tourism and in agriculture, Puerto Rico could stand on its own..

The current head of state can become the vassal premier of the Russian United State Called America (RUSCA) since they've already got their man in there and it's pretty clear he's a fan of Moscow's main man Vlad.

The US should be worried about their homeless/addiction epidemic instead of looking for another state to own. They can't even support their citizens with the current amount of states let alone with another one added to their country. Some cities in the US are worse to live then 3rd world countries. It's pathetic and sad to see their zombie cities

Trump has already begun walking back his talks about invading Canada and that would have been a easier campaign.

Maybe start threatening Iran with a partial annexation too since you threaten them with a war anyway?
