1 yDo you mean you missed work four days in a row? (two weekends). That counts as a reason for getting fired. But how long did you work there? Was this a new job? If it was, you don't have to list it.
But, in the future, call in and give an excuse for not being able to work. You'll avoid getting fired if the excuse, such as sickness, is genuine. If it's simply you don't want to show up for work, again, you'll get fired.06 Reply- 1 y
4 days , and came back on the 5th (3rd Saturday/weekend) and never called once mon-sun mon-sun and mon-fri
Asker1 y@Gaylordslav
Asker1 ySounds like a joke to you huh?
- 1 y
@Gaylordslav The point is you DID NOT CALL before missing work.
That is normal protocol. You can't miss work four days without notifying your employer, then show up and think your employer will excuse you for NOT calling in and not being there when you were scheduled and they needed you to work
If you don't understand that this is what you must do to keep a job, understand it now and don't do this again, or you'll be fired again, as I said previously. - 1 y
@Screenwriter You're a idiot.
- 1 y
@Gaylordslav Not so. But you're a nasty piece of work. Sure, I mistook your statement for the asker. I respond to a lot of questions. So I made a mistake. But nothing about either comment shows idiocy. Best regards.

Time to work on self asap so feel good.
Frankly, I wouldn't enjoy working at CVS and I didn't do well in my first job, but I did show up. Just getting through it is a good thing, for a few months at least.
You can always go work for yourself... there's no greater motivator than food, clothes, etc..
There is something wrong in the heart/spirit... you have to identify what is going on, time to spend time get to know Jesus/counselor/therapist/self, heal the inner child asap before turns into other issues.

u 1 yThey pay you to show up and do the work, and you failed for two weeks. . . apparently without discussing with your supervisor. You just went MIA for two weeks. You ghosted them! That counts for everything!

1 yYes you are fired and now go get another job.
Don’t do that again… take the responsibility and communicate. If you can spend time on gag… you can call in or email your job that you are sick.
I have to do that tomorrow since I am down with the flu…i am a school teacher… imaging I don’t say anything…
by 8am… all my students will go wild and now my boss will have to go find someone to cover my class at 8am?
CVS… say you are the only cashier… you don’t show up… and you don’t tell anyone… who will cover you?
why would your boss need to say anything to you.11 Reply- 1 y
Sounds like you don’t want to hear from anyone but those who tells you you should be rehire and CVS is wrong.
Good luck little girl. You will need it.

1 yCongratulations! No show is no show, no call is no call & being that you didn’t show or call it’s well within their right to let you go & fire you. CVS isn’t doing good & it’s a mater of time before the rest of the locations close as well.

Try that with a job on Wall Street and you will not be working there for long, the word gets around that you are UNRELIABLE, no one will hire you because they won't know if you will be in to work or not, not good for THEIR business. But you do you
Asker1 y@onedarkcloud I never asked for your opinion.

She is not Wall Street or CVS material.
She can’t handle the truth.
My concern is not her… but the American youth. Anyway…
There are way too many looking for validation on gag… glad is not my circle of friends.! - 1 y
But you got it. You asked if it meant anything I told you in the form of an opinion as to what your future is, given your excuses and lack of work ethic

1 yDoes you blowing off work for 2 weeks count for anything? Yeah unless you have a legitimate reason like being in the hospital or something, it counts as you being a unreliable employee.
Why did you blow off work?
10 Reply 1.5K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. Were you trying to be a no show? That is generally going to get you fired very quickly.
00 Reply2.6K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. What is CVS? If you are a no show to a job it is going to count.

Asker1 yYes, they terminated me out of the system. I believe because I couldn’t come as I worked there on the weekends, and I worked at another job during the week. This means that my manager purposefully separated me from employment

@blackeagle007 Oh, thanks

They don't care about your OTHER JOB. They hired you to work there on the weekends they scheduled you to work, and you don't show up. That's like you hiring a painter to paint your house or whatever, and you tell them to show up on Tuesday, no one shows up or calls, would you keep them or recommend them to anyone else

Right, Ms. Gaslight, it's all us. You don't show up for your job for 2 weeks, and we can presume you didn't inform them because that's what a "no-show" is --- not showing up without communicating you won't be there.
You do this for 2 week-end shifts consecutively, and yet "somehow", you are stunned that they fired you? Yeah, maybe we're the crazy ones. LMAO
When i was younger i got terminated for a no show for 1 day…. 2 weeks is wild lol

1 yProbably a record to you for thinking you can show up 20 days later expecting to still work there

Asker1 yWell I was sick and working full time seasonally at another job but they kicked me out of the system. And I’m inactive and terminated
Asker1 yI mean, it’s CVS. It’s a corporation that can get rid of any employee any time. I’ve had a bad experience there from drive through to my manager and the level of work. I imagine if my manager put me as a no show it could have taken me off the roster but she should tell me that. I’m afraid that I did tell them I’ll get back to them after April but it was too late. I even gave them a notice and they still kicked me out. It could be due to miscommunication with my boss but either way, I don’t understand because I was trying to earn a “ paycheck and work on the weekends as usual”

I disagree.
I am sick… it’s my responsibility to call in tonight to let them know I will not be in tomorrow. I am also responsible finding someone to cover me. I am also responsible telling my helper what they need to do to cover me.
We need to learn the word responsibity. Stop pointing fingers. And stop whining about a 2 day job you lost.
There are a lot of work out there… stop wasting time whiny and go get another one. Learn from your mistakes.
3.3K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. What was your expectations? A raise or promotion! For being irresponsible.

😂… some tried to be nice to her… but damn… the entitlement. It’s hard for me to believe there are people out there like this.
1 yit counts as being fired of course. let it also count as a lesson and dont do it again

Anonymous(25-29)1 yIt counts. No call shows usually means the person quit anyway.

Asker1 ybut like I did one week and then wasn’t here another week, and finally not here another 2 weeks. I guess I got terminated to inactivity? I was sick from vacation and also I was working full time in my new job.
Asker1 yFull time seasonal job I mean…
Opinion Owner1 yI don't see what difference that makes. Some places might give you a warning, but if it keeps happening of course they're going to fire you.
Asker1 yOkay so I got terminated to inactivity. I wonder if you worked at cvs or no how to rehire someone
Asker1 yKnow* not no.
Asker1 yThey gave me no warning

Why do you think you can’t get a better job than working for CVS?
CVS is not doing well… time to move on? Can you be a waitress? Money is better socially on weekends.
1 yYou couldn't at least call and say you wouldn't be in?

1 yYeah, it means you’re on the “do not rehire” list
