What do you do if your child is bullied for being trans or non-binary?

I would be shocked if even 1% of the kids who are supposedly trans have actual gender dysmorphia. There's a reason for the explosion in the numbers: kids have figured out that they can get a lot of extra attention, sympathy, privileges, etc. if they "identify" that way. There's no coincidence that the huge recent increase has come almost entirely from left-leaning households, where being trans has recently been celebrated, if not actively encouraged. A little boy picking up a Barbie or a girl picking up a screwdriver does not make them trans, but some crazy parents are calling for transition advice and posting "coming out" notices over things that dumb.

Europe led the way to promote this stuff, and then led the way in rejecting it after they had to deal with the aftermath. The US medical establishment is having to be dragged kicking and screaming back to sanity, refusing to learn from Europe's experience. We're going to have a lot of screwed up kids, and sadly, probably a lot of suicides, over all of this.

Rough take here but, hear me out?

Kids are not bullied for being trans or non-binary. They are not bullied for doing a certain thing.

They are bullied because they are bullyable. Kid me literally walked to school in a microskirt and tank top. Granted it was for a class related competition, but only my class knew that. Did anyone else bully me? No. Did I get a shitload of compliments? Yes! I even got a date!

Kids will pick on people that can be picked on. Of course it is made a lot easier if the kid being bullied is different. But if a kid is bullied they would be whether people knew they are X or Y or not.

So the solution after all that? Help said kid adjust their mentality and boost their confidence. Instead of removing things to be bullied about, become immune to bullying.

If USA, pursue an IEP / 504 plan

Enlist help of clubs like best buddies or GSA; Coaches, advisors,

Enlist help of PTA & SEPTA

Attend school board meetings

Kids can be mean, allowing you child to present themselves as, oddballs, freaks, weirdos, etc. opens them up to being called oddballs, freaks and weirdos.

You allowed your child to be an easy target for bullying.. the trans movement has lost a lot of support over the years so expect more and more bullying.
