Did you notice how certain celebs get praised for being beautiful, and then a whole parade of other traits is automatically assumed? So, because she’s beautiful, she must be talented; because she’s beautiful, she must be a sweet person, hardworking, etc. I understand it takes work to sing well or act well, but regarding their looks, THEY DIDN’T LIFT A FINGER to achieve them. I can’t believe this is so widely accepted in society.

Way too many people have this idea that if you're are good-looking, you must be good overall - meaning, both talented and a good, moral person.

People with good looks are less likely to be convicted of crimes, and are likely to get lower sentences when they are convicted. They're more likely to be able to defraud people, more likely to be able to get their way, and more likely to be given special privileges.

None of that is right, but that's the way it is, and pretty much always has been. Pretty people are given the benefit of the doubt when no one else would.

It's an evolutionary default that we all have so I wouldn't get twisted about it. Taller men are presumed to have leadership abilities and Lord knows that's not true!
