As the years go by, I am convinced this movie is becoming a documentary of American society.

Our reliability on consumerism, inflation, large corporations having immense power, the decline of our education system, and the educated middle-class rethinking their decision on having kids due to economical circumstances and hardships. We are seeing a squeezed middle-class. Meanwhile, dumb, lower-class, and ill-parenting people are popping out kids.

Even the malfunctioning machines everyone in the movie relies on and the dumb people using them... I can see this. Politicians and academia focusing on the wrong subjects. The declining infrastructure as well.

You still have the fundemental Bill of Rights that is fundamental to individual freedom. The first 10 amendments are critical: freedom of speech, religion, the right to voice opposition, the right to bear arms and defend oneself, due process. These are all rights that are trampled on by the radical left, right down to intimidation and surveillance of people voicing their opposition to the leftists' radical social engineering. But importantly, everyone forgets about the 10th Amendment: powers not granted to the federal government nor prohibited to the States is given to the STATES. Leftists want big federal government, which is contradictory to the constitution.

That's pretty impressive, when it comes to stupid, baseless statements. I don't really think that you understood that the film is about painting a picture of years and years and years of increasingly populist and stupid ideas, of which the conservatives are very fond of (along of course, with the decline in births from educated and cultured parents).

The film is about totally unrestricted capitalism and, more importantly, the consequences of virulent anti-intellectualism.

I am mostly conservative when it comes to faith, family, tradition, and values. I am more moderate when it relates to economics. I believe in smaller federal government and less government overreach. The power resides in the states. I believe public safety services are top priority, and that includes Fire/EMS/Rescue. I believe in exploring innovations in healthcare, and I believe mental health is critical. We are closing more hospitals in my state than growing them.

I live in a conservative, Republican state. We most certainly have our flaws in Tennessee. As a conservative, I believe the government should be on a budget and prioritize spending. There is no excuse for building community centers and park amenities when we cannot fund our fire departments.
