Even if the rules are spelled out they always seem to skate. The teachers union is one of the few unions left that has any real power.

According to teachers contracts it is illegal for them to strike. Yet they do it anyway. They wait acoupe of weeks after summer vacation ends when parents cancel daycare for their kids, Then the go on strike leaving parents scrambling to find some place to stick their kids so they can go to work. They call the school committee and tell them to give the teachers what they want.
I would tell them all if they do not show up to class tomorrow, do not bother coming back. I would hire all new faculty and staff.

@DrPepper12 It says right in the contract it is illegal for them to strike. They sre the ones that need to educate themselves. What part of illegal don't they understand? Reagan fired all the Air Trafffic controllers because they had an illegal strike. I met two of these guys who were fired. They were making about $50,000 which was a ton of money back then. They had to take jobs as police dispatchers at a college for $15,000 a year.
