I think politicians and the courts will look like fools if they oppose him on this.

I am very pleased even though I am not an American. The reason is that the only beef, other than beef, that Trump seems to have with us (Australia) is that we run a Pharmaceuticals Benefits Scheme and most medications cost working age people $20 USD but $4.50 USD for retired people because their is gov't funding for them.

I don't know what the general cost is in the US, but I hope for my American cousins prices like that will be of benefit. A lot of the cost we pay is a dispensing fee at the pharmacy, so i guess it is possible your pharmacies might jack up their slice. If you need anti-biotics you want them now and online ordering is too slow..

The good thing for us is that US pharmas have been complaining that our PBS is a trade barrier. Trump seems to have pulled the rug out from under them and can't now take that complaint up with us..

Which leaves our beef for Trump to beef about. For quite a long time now American beef has been fine to export to us. It is just Canadian and Mexcian beef that isn't OK till we clear them of nasty diseases as well. We just insist that American beef is American born and raised.

I'm going to guess it only impacts Medicare prices and in response the pharmaceutical company will rise private insurance. So after a few billion dollars n lobbying go to both party's it's going to be pushed under the rug.

I'm all for a universal health care but the problem is it has to be universal or you get problems like this.

I love when people ask why Biden didn't do something but forget Trump had a whole first term to do something and didn't. And of course, Biden did lower drug prices and Trump constantly lied and took credit for it lol.

as for looking bad, drug companies don't care about looking bad. Courts have to follow laws so courts don't get to decide to look good or bad. Congress doesn't have a choice of looking good or bad as Trump thinks everything gets done with executive orders because he can't get anything passed in congress with a majority and the world's greatest negotiator (self-proclaimed anyway) is getting almost nothing passed. What a "leader"!
