In just the first few hours and days of his Presidency, Donald Trump has signed many executive orders. Some of the more reported ones deal with Border Security, Birthright Citizenship, Energy, Paris Climate Agreement, Rescinding DEI, Return to Work, and pardons for Jan 6 participants.

Only one: Declassifying MLK Jr & JFK & RFK Assassinations which were both promises of Trump’s first term & Biden’s term

Everything else is a bastard.

My least favorite: Ending birthright citizenship since it is literally in the US Constitution for one. For two, this paves the way to allow the Federal Government under any political leader to dehumanize his/her people & sets a scary dangerous authoritarian path for our country…. Native Americans were pushed to reservations under the Trail of Tears even when local govt ruled they shouldn’t be moved. Andrew Jackson moved them out killing hundreds of thousands in the process in needless slaughter, disease, inhumane conditions, and forced relocation which can happen to the American people as a whole from Caucasian to African to Asian to etc. American if the US Govt sees fit. If this goes into effect, less people will feel safe in this country knowing that the President can just do whatever he wants….

Fourteenth Amendment of US Constitution, Section 1 as follows:
“All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.”
That is what President Trump wants to revoke. This goes against his Oath of Office and goes against the freedoms of all Americans. Period. Know your rights and protect them!

I don't like the idea of executive orders. We have division of power for a reason. If we are going to keep doing EO, then lets save the $ and fire them all and have a king again. We gotta stop this BS!

Beyond that, many of them I agree with. Id like to see them grouped into a logical group, just haven't spent the time. they should be doing that. It falls under border security, finances, and social order. something like that.

I've read extreme views of them but seems the orders sometimes, are not that extreme. There is a lot of fear being bashed about regarding the orders and so... where is his press person? She's hiing somewhere under a rock? poor girl, she know what she got herself into?

The Founding Fathers established a Constitution where the President is not a king, yet recent Presidents have acted like a king, with pardons and hundreds of executive orders that really should involve legislation. I'm in favor of Congress, supported by SCOTUS, to limit what a President can do via Executive Order

The problem with legislation is most of the time it goes at a snails pace and some of these are pressing where immediate action is necessary to stop the bleeding

@RetroReviews your point is valid. So I accept some of this. The issue is it's been so dysfuntional can't get anything changed without full control. But they got full control. we really need to get back to law and order and balance.

@lightbulb27 Executive orders are not as effective as passing a law through congress but the country is on the brink of ruin and it will take quick action to save it and trying to get a law passed is a long process. Trump is right to do this , it is a shortcut but America needs bold leadership now and Trump has the courage and the experience to face these issues head on without flinching.

I don't like the orders as a foreigner from afar as an Australian in Australia however + I also appreciate that each to their own and that their laws are their laws, their country is America their country, and shrugs - I'm just a working man, I'm no executive.

And I certainly don't own luxury goods / luxury brands. Aka, I'm no executive. I'm not an Executive.

So I shouldn't be able to hold an opinion, if I'm not an Executive and I don't make those decisions around here sir, uptight voice tone lol 👔

I don't like the return to work for federal employees. I personally drive an hour to and from work 3 days a week to have all of my meetings online with teams. 2 hours of wasted production. They should send everybody thay works with a computer home full time and sell the building. Make money and cut out the largest portion of overhead costs. The Birthright citizen thing is unconstitutional. Send the American child with his deported parents to their original nation and when hit is old enough he is welcome to move to America.

I like most of it. The only one I don't like is the one with birthright citizenship. I do support the idea, buit believe it should be changed in a different way.

Yeah. I already read it.

I like the argument with the children of the ambassadors. Seems the 14th Amendment is not absolute if there are exceptions.

In my country we have Ius Sanguinis, so it's not a problem, but my attitude towards this in USA is constitutional - I believe if you want to have exceptions from this amendment, then you should pass another amendment to change it. Then everything would be clear, if amendment were absolute with no exceptions.

I didn't read what all of them were. But from the ones I saw, some were reasonable, some were funny, others were just stupid. Also, some of that stuff like the birthright citizenship will need congressional approval

Trump is going big. Hoping that the majority of his executive orders will pass and possibly make a difference in the US.
I think a lot of them have some merit. But he only has 4 years to undo the Biden massacre of our country.

The Trump administration would be over before anything got settled. The main issues like securing the border, mass deportations, develop domestic energy, end inflation and get out of foreign wars were settled during the election.
