President Trump just signed an executive order that Fentanyl is now a weapon of mass destruction. What are your thoughts?

20-30 THOUSAND Americans are killed every year by Fentanyl poisoning. I think it great that he signed the executive order because it's down right used for murdering Americans.

I use be addicted bad and I think this is going to make it more of a problem.

What made me get clean was being left in my misery untill I got myself out. We can't make anyone better. These people will find a new "fentynal" twice as bad.

Its terrible to say but you have to let a person learn themselves. The problem solved itself for me. No one helped me untill dope taught me all I had was myself. Trumps order won't save anyone. When a person wants to get high they get high, look at prisons. There are a lot of drugs in prison. people, who have no money, somehow pay insane amounts, for "nothing". also snort or smoke coffee and dumb stuff. We make a solution and people make a new problem. We have to learn ourselves as bad as that is. ☹️

I guess I am excited about the new executive order because it will punish the drug traffickers and the cartel more severely when they get busted.
I lost the love of my life two years ago to Fentanyl poisoning. He was taking Adderall for his ADHD and couldn't get it from VA doctors because they don't prescribe stimulants. So he bought it online like so many other people who were poisoned by it and died.
He had severe ADHD and the Adderall helped with his symptoms.
To be honest I don't know how anyone can live each day with a devastating brain deformity which causes horrific symptoms and can ruin a person's life.
He was a genius in math, astronomy and the studies of our universe. But he was self taught because people with ADHD can't go to college and get a degree like people who don't have ADHD. That was so sad for him.

I had crap parents and was around it early. Weed wasn't bad to me it was responsible for my life, all we had. I didn't understand my brain untill I got high. But yes there was a trap to. The trap for me started with the doctor and pills, always wanting to get higher then weed got me. Pill were expensive without the doctor, then i found out how much cheaper heroin was, then how much higher i got off the needle. It goes from fun to a requirement to live with a quickeness. Drugs were the most fun I ever had. Also the worst part of life.

Its not about making something "good" with my life its about having one. That is the good. Also how I got clean. Trying to make something "good" of life was the trap @lightbulb27

I'd make that a bit more specific. Maybe something along the lines of "anything that causes death without outside manipulation and is deadly in nature." We don't want them outlawing private transportation (cars) or alcohol or sugar etc.

That is the way it has been used. Cocaine has been smuggled into the country for decades but only has done limited damage. fentanyl is laced into products which are not understood to be harmful. Like candy for children. Like jujubes. The intention of the Communist Chinese and the South Americans that have formulated and carried lt in the United States was to harm our culture and kill our people. These are acts of war. I think we should declare war against Mexico because they are the ones that are allowing fentanyl to get into the country. Terrible, this does nothing to fix the fentanyl problem and opens the doors to allowing the government to carry out military operations in other countries under the disguise of WMD's. The only way to fix the Fentanyl problem, is to decriminalize which allows users to seek help without the fear of being thrown in prison.

Fentanyl is one of the top pain medicines used in hospitals, in anesthesiology, and with cancer patients, so it would be impossible to declare it a weapon of mass destruction because that would remove it from those legitimate situations.

I am keenly aware all about Fentanyl. My son and I were both prescribed Fentanyl patches by a certified pain management doctor who is also an anesthesiologist. It helped us with our severe pain. So I get that!!

On the other hand, my boyfriend whom I loved with all of my heart died from Fentanyl poisoning. No, people are wrong when they say it's a Fentanyl overdose because they didn't overdose, it was hidden and he didn't know it was there, so how is that an overdose?

Because of the bad actors who make and distribute Fentanyl on the streets and have killed hundreds of thousands of children and people older than that have died suddenly and their family members usually find them dead. Hundreds of thousands - not just some people.
In this case, it really is a Weapon of Mass Destruction because people are unknowingly being poisoned to death by Fentanyl the way it's distributed in America. They are killing Americans on purpose and that's their intention. That's their whole purpose of making it under cover and the Cartels AND NOT A CERTIFIED DOCTOR IS DISTRIBUTING IT. BIG DIFFERENCE!!!
Who said that the medical professionals can't still use it legally for pain management and surgeries? Who did you hear that from or are you just assuming that on your own?
