Have you ever been or threatened with eviction?

So I’m being threatened with eviction ( not due to rent, but for covering up for my mother after her and them had a argument and me not wanting to take sides) They told me they had the power and money, and saying a phrase called “ Money Talks, bs walks” do all landlords act this high and mighty?

My husband and I moved into a house that the rent was cheap on when I was 3 months pregnant. He's very handy with his hands and he did it up with new wallpaper, fixed the garden, pit up a new fence, new blinds and curtains and replaced the old oil burner and fixed the roof. It basically cost us nothing but would cost thousands in material and labour. The day I gave birth an eviction letter was sent out. My husband told me a week after we brought the baby home, I couldn't stop crying. Having seen the work put into the house by my husband the greedy landlord decided he could get more rent if he evicted us and brought in a new couple. Fortunately my husband sorted it all out, we don't rent anymore.

Yes, from one apt, in which the manager said was for multiple reasons. There were also some evil tenants living in the bldg making up lies about some of us.

I am not a lawyer but I suspect that is a free speech violation. Ask a lawyer about this entire problem and do so promptly before you ARE evicted.

If they try to evict you for that, they can get in deep trouble.
