The left loves to declare: “We believe in science!”

But the minute Trump signs an executive order that dares to reference basic biology—like the one stating that women are, wait for it… adult human females—they lose their minds.

Suddenly, chromosomes become a hate crime. Anatomy is "problematic." And anyone who says that XX and XY aren’t just social constructs is accused of violence.

It’s fascinating: liberals will cite peer-reviewed journals all day when it comes to climate models in 2090, but ask them to define “woman,” and they’ll start blinking in Morse code.

If Trump says water is wet, they’ll argue that rain is a fascist conspiracy. Are they incapable of acknowledging what every 6th-grade biology class teaches?

Are they too blinded by loyalty to their gender confused friends to “fact-check” human reproduction.

So the question stands: is there a scientific reason why liberals only “believe in science” when it comes with rainbow emojis and doesn’t hurt anyone’s feelings?

As a person favoring a scientific approach - I can't say I believe on science, science is the opposite of belief, I find the order scientifically the silliest attempt ever made I'll explain so please try to keep an open mind a tad longer.

The order in its simplicity states that a male/female is who are identifiable as such at conception.
To anyone confused conception is when sperm meets and fertilizes the egg.

I will stress that at the point of conception there is no identifiable gender or sex. The egg is for all intents and purposes both male and female at this point in time. It takes another few months before those traits develop.

So according to Trump's order we need to, 24h after sex, operate on a woman, take a sample of the fertilized egg, confirm that "Indeed no sex has formed yet on this either" and write that every single human born is now non-binary. It shows a biological illiteracy as bad as his financial one.

If it had been at birth that would be a lot better but still problematic. Intersex, biologically both genders present, is as common as 2 in 100 at the highest reportes rate or 1 in 1000 at the lowest. This isn't how the kid identifies but how a doctor looks at it and goes "Well what sex am I staring at?".

We haven't even touched on matters of how someone identifies.

But yes. The scientific explanation for why liberals or scientifically leaning people do not approve the executive order is because it might just be the most ineffective silly order ever written. At conception, really?

You are referencing a limited intersex group known as "true hermaphrodites" and in that respect you are right! Of course even then the numbers are, as your own range shows, uncertain.

I am referencing atypical sexual development (1.7%) and atypical genitalia (0.5%) for the first count. Official numbers for USA. This is basically something like both a vagina and penis but one being less than fully developed (compared to the age and expected development).

These are all considered intersex and will all call gender/sex into question. I appreciate the fact check! But true intersex and partial will all mess up affixing gender by visuals alone. And if someone is born 100% female and 70% male, in development, it is difficult to say that whichever developed first is the more inherent sex.

Using the explanation for a zygote, a fertilized egg, would be perfectly fine even with the strictest of biology professors for a layman term discussion. You are not wrong, but its a bit like saying it is called mathematics not math.

Contrary to popular belief XX or XY is not a perfect definition either. We have twl syndroms called Chapelle abd Swyer syndrome, occuring about 1 per 25000 and 1 per 80 000 as a confirmed number. These are syndromes when a biologically identifiabale male/female with all the right bits and pieces have the wrong XX qnd XY chromosomes.

Since we rarely dig into genetics it is reasonably far to assume the real number is much higher.

But again just to make this stupisly clear. At Conception, which is what Trump's order says, the sperm has just entered the egg and not only is it unreasonably impractical to ascertain the gender 24hours after sex it also... is not possible because the male/female bit isn't going to happen for a few more months.

Lol, the first amendment is freedom of speech, religion, assembly, and protesting the government. It isn't the freedom of medical care. If you want to say that they have the ability to engage in plastic surgery freely, I agree. However, I don't think plastic surgery is going to solve their issues. Body dismorphia doesn't go away with surgery; it only shifts to another part of your body. To treat it you need to treat your mental health and see a therapist.
