Given the situation in the middle east was the vote a show of support for Israel or was it all about the music.

Eurovision has never been about real music. It's weak, fake identity politics bull crap. In America our music is real, y'all And I tell you what, you should have give me the mic on that Euro-elitist stage. I would have torn it up with my new hip hop song called "We'll Take Greenland, Mother F***ers"
We’ll take Greenland, Mother F***ers, keep your paper straws,
We build walls, not climate laws.
You kneel for flags, we stand and grin—
Trump shook your hands, and raised the tariffs again, bee yatches.
You get sick and wait in line—
I pay cash and feel just fine.
So keep your pansy health care, who gives a damn
I've got freedom, McD, and Uncle Sam.
Banned beef, banned gas, banned fun in school,
Tell me again who made your rules?
Your nose up in the air at us from your bike lanes,
But you call us first when Putin rains.
We’ll take Greenland, mother f***ers, keep your peace,
You lecture loud with unarmed police.
You float in theory, we deal in steel—
Trump played chess while y’all played touchy feel.
Your passports brag in shades of blue—
Mine comes with guts, and a.22.
Maybe both. Israel should ask for an audit because there are likely dirty tricks done to stop it wining.
Australia didn't get through to finals so don't whinge about UK's zero pointers.
Don't understand why we even are in Eurovision when we are nearly on the opposite side of the globe. That shows you how weird Eurovision is if you needed proof.
The Australian somg was 10x better than the British offering
No it's just many Israeli live outside of Israel so they can vote for their own country.

Dunno. But it does seem the people who support Israel are a lot more fanatical about it than the people who are not in favor of genocide. I guess you have to be fanatical if you wanna explain away what they're doing. You have to shout anyone down.
So it's definitely possible people banded together to vote for them as much as possible. It's kinda like Kpop fans who want their group to win polls and awards and they're like really organized and work hard to make it happen. Except this is a lot more fucked up.
With support for Israel plummeting like a lead balloon all around the world, it is increasingly desperate for credibility.
In light of all the calls to ban Israel from the Eurovision competition, I'm sure Israel really, really wanted to win so that it could say "Look how cool we are."
So I am sure the powerful Israeli lobby rallied every bit of support from Zionists to vote in its favor. And I wouldn't be surprised if it used dirty trick besides. There is no level of dishonesty that evil entity wouldn't stoop to.
I see that people in the US can vote but Eurovision really isn’t a thing here, not even talked about. Perhaps more awareness can raise interest in the US. Then we can sit in judgement of Europeans which would be loads of fun. If the UK sucked up to us we could swing it for them for sure. I am surprised it is not a thing here as it is so big in Europe.
One of the songs was a woman in leather with half her huge breasts hanging out screaming she's coming. I'm not sure America is ready for that yet. Then there's the fact its got a huge gay following, the political backlash would make it impossible to host it in safety.
We tend to simple say “well, they’re European so…”. Half of us just accept that while the other half tunes in while no one is looking. Now the gay thing is a mixed bag. We have gay parades with no problem and we are used to them being loudly gay at times :D. And we enjoy gay performers as long as they are flamboyant and fun.. like Elton John. Meh, who knows how it would go.
I was not aware that Morticia Addams is from Israel. Thanks for the picture.
As the entire world will be aware: here in Thailand we had provincial elections last week. So much for the relevance of ''voting''.
When Israel ''NEARLY'' won, ... then they didn't - did they.
Once again they ended up being pushed aside to where they can't disturb...
in Europe, that is :D
@andreasderjuengere "Good one Donna" - Click, Adam Sandler movie wink wink 😉😜
Either way they didn't win cause Israel sucked. Also Uk sucked as always so it makes sense nobody voted for them. Nobody cares about 3 semi attractive girls singing a boring pop song.
To win you have to be weird.
by the way it's been 15 years at least for me since someone actually good won... Aka Satellite by Lena.
@purplepoppy hey I was right Austria won - why, are you Jewish partly Poppy or something? 😋🥳 Besides I would've felt bad if a war nation won instead of a peaceful one such as Austria + the Austrians just want to enjoy life ; I'm biased with some Austrian ancestry
@purplepoppy since there was no Australia 🦘🌏
I believe in this, vote for the best song not the best country at the moment.
Maybe just maybe the voters shouldn’t know which country the song originates from and just vote on the principle of the thing, just my opinion.
Firstly why the fuck is a middle eastern country in the competition for the white asses?
Secondly why is a fucking genocidal terrorist country allowed to compete and not boycotted out?
Fucking money makes anything happen.
The idea that leftists in Europe were making a political statement on behalf of Israel is beyond laughable.
Of course it is. The bots and all sorts of corruption agencies are behind their "acceptance" into civilised world.
The winners/voting on the ESC is always heavily woke.
There are some great acts but it often baffled me how not the really good acts win
Entertainment & politics are inseparable. It's both.
I wish that cheating in a music show was the worst thing that Israel done.
People saw it for the good song it was. It was far better than that screeching Austrian than won.
Song contests often involve politics.
@AviatorTom my life motto is everything in life is political :)
I don't know anything about "eurovision", but I DO know that Israel is a genocidal "nation" that should be scorned for their murderous military
So…it wasn’t rigged for Israel if they didn’t win, right?
Most people here are Americans and don't know what your talking about.
Poppy come on. U know it was
Are the UK citizens prevented from voting?
No country can vote for themselves. We did pretty well in the jury points but not the public vote
The British song tried too hard to be clever and turned out a mess
Yes, I think it was totally politial.
I don't know what that is.
Omg they nearly won again this year
