President Trump's tariffs are doing what he said they will do and the consumer price index want down again this month so it has not caused inflation. The treasury has collected over 80 billion dollars as well.

They've reduced the trade deficit, inflation is at a record low, the stock market is making huge gains, and they're on track to reduce the US deficit. Employment is up, and consumer confidence is up.

Maybe turn off the news, and you'll learn something other than being force fed propaganda.
Tariffs is what actually made many Western countries, including the U. S. wealthy, as it allowed the creation of industry, and stopped it from going over seas.
Because of largely the removal of tarrifs, industry leaves the U. S. as as well as other Western industrial powers, and goes to 3rd world countries because of cheaper labor, hence bigger profit margins for those companies.
Yes, the items you order on ebay from China may now be a little more expensive. Big deal. Long term however, it will help keep jobs here, and potentially bring back jobs to our shores. Meaning more jobs and industry for Americans.
